This past year was a whirlwind for newcomers, Final Flash. Based in Montreal, this emerging quintet, is rapidly making waves with their unique brand of psychedelic folk-rock.
Final Flash have quickly caught the attention of fans, local media and programmers, landing shows at Canadian Music Week, Pop Montreal, the Whistler Canadian Music Showcase, part of the Whistler’s Filmmaker Forum, as well as Transmission – an elite international conference for music and technology, held annually in Vancouver.
The band’s Fall 2008 performance at the Toronto International Film Festival’s Canadian Music Café – a showcase specifically for music supervisors – was so well received, that they landed an international publishing deal with Los Angeles based North Star Media, who also represent the catalogues of such artists as Rod Stewart, Cher and many more.
The band once again received great reviews from music supervisors and media for their shows both at CMW and SXSW in March 2009, as well as NXNE where they were approached (and now putting a deal together) by EMI, adding to the buzz, which continues to gain momentum surrounding this exciting young band. Final Flash went to China in April-May of 2009 as part of TRANSMIT-China. The Chinese tour was such a success that the band has already been invited back to both China and Japan for Fuji Rock and other asian festivals in 2010, and locally play international showcase event M for Montreal in November 2009.
The young five-piece is currently putting the finishing touches on their debut record entitled Homeless, which was produced by Jace Lasek (Besnard Lakes) and which is scheduled to be released digitally in the fall of 2009 on Indica Records, with EMI jumping on board for the physical release, due out spring 2010.

If I knew no one of your band on a personal level I would still think this music is beautiful. It has a that certain something ( maybe sensitivity) that comes and gets me and Im sure it gets many other people. Im so happy for you guys...Really, I am. Waiting to buy the album : )
