The entire Finnegan entity has been put on the backburner for the last year or so. Not necessarily by choice as much as instinct. I've been very busy focusing on my electric guitar musics in my band Iced Ink and the brand spankin' new Twin Cities band fe-rah'go. I'll be back with the Taylor acoustic in my lap at some point, there's no doubt about that, but in the mean time please check out the two aforementioned bands if you haven't already.

And now that you've bought the CD (*AHEM*), on with our story. Finnegan is the acoustic chicken pickin' pseudonym of a guy from Minneapplesauce that many know as Micycle Tricycle.
Over the years, solo acoustic guitar became a really nice way to keep him entertained and kill time while not playing with his freak-out rock band Iced Ink or making atonal jigsaw puzzle recordings under the pseudonym Honkeylips.
He remembers his parents calling him into the room in 1985 saying "Watch this guy on TV play!" It was Leo Kottke, and young Finnegan could not believe all of that sound was coming from one guy. They bought him a "Leo Kottke - The Best" LP for Christmas and after that, he knew he wanted to play that kind of music in some way, shape, and form for the rest of his life.
Attn. guitar geeks: Inquiring minds wanted to know: Yes, most of the songs are done in open tunings. See tunings and stories behind the songs in the blog section of this here page.
All compositions written and recorded by the person who played them. That would be Finnegan. Or Michael Krenner. Or both of them. You pick!
oh yea im a music enthusiast learning the guitar and thats the type of music i would love to learn one day - very ambient, of course using an acoustic - pretty laid back its awesome - hope u put up more songs :)
Happy hump day from Cities Live! Hope you can tune in to the show this Sunday! If you have any requests or comments please feel free to leave us a voice comment so we can play it on the air.
Thanks for adding me eventhough I'm a pug. I have your song on my profile, it is very fitting. And, your music helps me relax and sleep (which is very much appreciated by my mom!)

Hey! Hope you are doing well. I'm in Key West right now......playing at the Hogsbreath......lost the voice last night, but with the help of a steroid shot....we will see what happens tonight!!?
Anyway, i'm hitting it hard in June and July.....in June i'll be on the road with Tommy Allsup of Buddy Holly fame. I made a little video about the tour and put it on youtube. You can see it here. July will find us in Key West for the Songs in the Sun festival. I've booked Shurman, Howard Livingston, and Danny White for the special concert on the water. It will be a party, and i'm inviting you now! I made a video for the festival as well. You can see it here. Anyway, take care and i hope you are doing well........Sincerely,
Kevin Montgomery..
Thanks for the great music. It has an incredible depth and warmth to it that makes a perfect beginning or end to my day. Or really any time for that matter. Keep doing what you're doing!
