my name's lisle. i make music sometimes, and when i do this is what it is. i had to write a bio for a class once and it said something like this:
"i grew up in the tundras of new england playing classical piano and one day i moved to california to go to school and decided to start writing songs. i bought a portastudio and started recording, combining my love for lo-fi indie recordings of the 1980s and 90s with my unrefined knowledge of classical arrangement. i try to craft each song into a tiny snow-globe-sized universe you can curl up in and get lost for a little while."
i've just completed my 2nd non-demo album, entitled "autumn almanac." unlike a traditional almanac, "autumn almanac" is a record of a world that exists only in dreams: the type of dreams you wish could be real. it is a document of a place where reality does not get in the way, and the purest thoughts of your heart and mind are free to litter the damp streets like fallen leaves.
autumn almanac will be available to purchase at some point. probably.

Hi Lisle, 'Walk on the Moon' is magnificent. Truly, we adore it especially the slightly melancholy but dreamy vocal. We also learned what the Japanese for casual sex is as well during our visit, so we look forward to opportunities to use the phrase! ~sighrens~
Thank you for allowing us onto your page....we think your songs are quite beautiful. Though you've possibly never been here, your songs are the perfect compliment to the drizzly twilight of a Scottish suburb.
