Since the release of The Bowery last year, Firekites have played with some of their favourite bands including - School of Seven Bells, Built To Spill, Iron & Wine, Steve Kilbey, The Sea and Cake, Laura Marling, Bill Callahan, Stars, The Tallest Man on Earth, Holly Throsby and Crayon Fields ...aswell as Peats Ridge and Laneway Festivals.
Bio Firekites was formed by Tim McPhee & Rod Smith in 2005 as a lo-fi acoustic guitar project.
Later, friends were invited to play on songs that started with two guitars and ended up with a lot more. A record was made...written and recorded in a vacant dance-hall/bookstore called, The Bowery.
Firekites is now Pegs Adams, Ben Howe, Jason Tampake, Tim & Rod.

I'm starting up an application basically just to advertise gigs around Newcastle and I'm just making sure you guys are keen to be on it. It won't cost anything, but it won't be up for at least a month. I'm just collecting everyone's information at the moment.
If you are cool with being on it just message/comment back with ((or email gina.liversidge@gmail.com)) what genre you fall under, three bands you are a cross between and up to three websites where people can find out more about you (eg your myspace or if you’re on Unearthed).
