A CALL TO ALL GRAFFITI WRITERS AND ARTISTS!! THE TIME TO END CORPORATE BANALITY BEGINS NOW!!
Have you noticed the way Estate Agents Foxtons likes to use a "graffiti" font on it's trendy mini's and glossy outlets. Ripping off our street culture so they can appear to be "now", while gentrifing the very areas that graffiti is born from, well we say "B*LL*CKS TO THEM!"
We have no problem with graf artists selling their services to make a living, but lets be honest Foxtons have ripped off the graf font from some expensive (thieving) design company, using graffiti to promote themselves. Yet the "REAL" graffiti writers are the ones being outlawed, being nicked and fined heavily and sometimes jailed for purely making the urban environment (That we live in!!) look a bit nicer.
SO THE FIGHT BACK STARTS NOW!!! LET FOXTONS KNOW WHAT YOU THINK!!!! IN THE BEST WAY YOU KNOW HOW - WITH A CAN OF PAINT AND PENS.
POST YOUR PICTURES ON THE COMMENTS AND IF THEY ARE DECENT THEN EMAIL THEM OVER SO THE BEST CAN BE PUT IN THE PHOTO SECTION AND TURNED INTO A SLIDE SHOW.
This is part of a wider action, called by CLASS WAR on Monday March 3rd 2008 AGAINST ESTATE AGENTS, DEVELOPERS, GENTRIFIERS, LETTING AGENTS. MASS PICKET OF FOXTONS BRANCH AT THE ANGEL ISLINGTON. 2PM - 9PM.
It is time to take back control of our lives. Instead of some posh b**tards gentrifying the area for their own pocket, it is time we took control of the development of OUR areas and focused on affordable housing, so all of us struggling at the bottom can better our lives and communities and build a spirit of class solidarity and power.
Graffiti was born out of the need to transform the decaying urban environment and the "true" artists are out there on the front lines putting pieces up. Lets not let CORPORATE BANALITY take over every part of our lives.

TO ANY ARTISTS WHO ARE READING THIS: Behind the Foxtons in Islington there's a fucking massive white wall with nothing on it, and I was down there with some mates and we couldn't see any cameras. We were going to do something cause we had cans and stuff, but we'd already done something quite near, so we didn't. BUT SOMEONE HAS TO FUCKING GET THAT WALL.
