Named after a B-side of said Britrock band, solo artist Daniel Stenger aka 'Flashbaxx' (Aschaffenburg/Germany) decided to embark on a surprisingly varied musical career. His discovery by Mainz-based lounge label Wohnton (2003) was soon followed by several contributions to compilations. The title track of his 2004 released debut album Livingroom adventures appeared on dozens of compilations all over the world, among these giants like JAZZANOVA, TOSCA and MO' HORIZONS, just to name a few. But stagnancy is strange to Daniel Stenger: he worked as remixer and producer (PNFA, KayGrove, NUDE), performed sets as DJ and with the electronic live act SONIC SOUL DIVISION, founded his custom-sound company BAXXBEATMUSIC , produced and licensed music for TV-commercials and image movies (Riu Hotels, BAT, Deutsche Bank, Trekstore etc... ), released the debut album HERBST with the post-rock band FITZCARRALDO and toured 40 cities in three countries. Daniel Stenger’s various talents just won’t let you pigeonhole him and putting any labels on him is not going to work. Although his alter ego FLASHBAXX can be seated on a sofa in the lounge without any doubt, it will regularly awake hungover on the dance floor of the basement club. The workaholic born in 1981 is a „Jack Of All Trades – Master Of None“. If as man on bass and synth (FITZCARRALDO), behind his mixer at the BBM-Studio or as DJ, he always puts 100% of his heart and soul into it and he loves what he does.
