Flash Lightnin' is a Toronto-based power trio whose extraordinary chops and contemporary approach to blues-based southern rock have been blowing away audiences across the country. They have toured with several big names in Canadian rock, including Priestess, Bison, and Sebastien Grainger and the Mountains. In July, they will support the Eagles of Death Metal on their Canadian tour.
Destello (pronounced des-TAY-o, meaning "flash" in Spanish), the band's self-produced debut EP, features six original songs that capture the electric intensity of the band's live shows. With Darren Glover on guitar and vocals, Darcy Yates on bass, and Chris Henry's rolling back beat, Flash Lightnin' wears its influences of seventies ZZ Top and the Rolling Stones like a well-worn Nudie Suit, with rhinestone crests of Jeff Beck and the Black Keys.
The band is hard at work in the studio in Toronto on a new album.
