About me:
Flint City Handmade is now Flint Handmade!

For the past two years, we have hosted Spring and Holiday Craft Markets in affiliation with the arts activism organization Greater Flint Creative Alliance.

We are excited to announce that Flint City Handmade has become an independent organization dedicated specifically to handcrafting! Under our new name, Flint Handmade, we will continue to organize craft markets on the first Saturday in May and December as well as craftLAB on the first Sunday of every month in Downtown Flint.

We plan to bring you lots of exciting new opportunities for creative expression and commerce in Flint, so please check our new myspace often!

The harder I fought, the harder the lessons I was taught. My heart was so weak, but my head was too strong. I found myself upset with the world Because it didn’t see things as I see, And in every direction I would point the blame I’d find that three fingers would always point back at me. If I’m upset with the me I’ve become Why would I hold to my same frame of mind? If I really want to change, then I can’t stay the same; I must leave the old ways behind. Insanity is running ‘round and ‘round in a circle, Somehow thinking that it will suddenly go straight. If I could see myself as WE more so than I and ME A bigger, brighter picture would resonate.

Party for LIFE is a nonprofit organization that sets up all kinds of benefit shows for local no-kill nonprofit animal shelters and other local charities. We've even put together a Party for LIFE Compilation CD featuring local bands that we sell inexpensively at our shows to help raise money for the charity of the night.
