"the Ritalin kids of Focus Group value consistency over compression. The surprisingly smooth instrumental workouts on the quartet's eponymous EP dabble in everything from glitch-pop and ragtime jazz to galactic funk and trip-hop, at times recalling early Drums & Tuba, only with heavy doses of trombone."-Austin Chronicle
"bizarrely fascinating, layering a polished instrumental prowess with contortions of samples and beats"-Austin Sound.net
"Focus Group oozes personality."- '5 Austin Bands You Should Listen To' -Examiner.com
"The show itself was amazing. They mix pre-recorded and live music, which is always interesting but they have a great sense for sounds and rhythms. They're tight as a band, and have some intensely danceable/moveable tracks." -independentcultureproject.blogspot.com
"I've made it to many shows now and they have been the undisputed highlight of every lineup." -shermthoughts.blogspot.com

Focus Group is a collection of friends making music for friends to be friends to. Aged only three years, our five members range from classical piano to MPC aficionado and everything in between. Our influences are are as diverse as our sound and we hope you will agree that we are seriously dedicated to the idols of absurdity. Footwork, freshness, and all your favorite f-words combined.
What does it mean? It means good tidings from beyond the infinite.
Best wishes from hot britches.
All of the above. We are completely independent, we book, write, load/unload, drink, and love, all on our own. I really do hope you will take a few minutes off of cruising myspace and listen. We have an EP for sale, are soon to release another, and its never too long between shows. We recently just completed our first tour through the great midwest. In Texas, we heart Austin favorites Hole in the Wall, Emo's, The Parish, The Scoot Inn, as well as the wonderful Triple Crown in San Marcos. Please drop us a message no matter how absurd it may be. We want to be your fans, who just happen to play music.
