AN EXPLOSIVE THREE PIECE PURVEYING AGGRESSIVE POP. previously based in New Cross but now in Nunhead, a neighbourhood that presents an outward picture of calm, tree-lined streets and has not been in the headlines as an area of concern. We have been described as a number of things none of which are particularly well suited...

Our first show following 3 months of writing takes place at The Fly, New Oxford Street on November 11th. It's an industry showcase promoted by Mean Fiddler and backed by Rock Sound Magazine. El Caco are flying in from Norway to play on the night. We'll be letting some new material loose! It'd be grand if you can make it.

XFM Review
I'm not totally at home with Rock (that has no extreme soppy/angry emo leanings), but have heard enough to know that this is it done very, very well. Deep, powerful voice, BIG music and just the feeling that something very professional is happening -I don't mean in a clinical way, just in that way that, when you find out they're unsigned, it's a bit of a shock. I'd be very surprised if they didn't massively pull it off live.
Hello there..cheers for adding us.,...hope you had a nice weekend,.. we will be playing the new cross inn this wednesday,1st oct,..it's our own band night,..come along,..X
hey thanks for the support! make sue you sign up to our mailing list, we send out newsletters letting you know about all the fantastic events in south london x
Please join the mailing list on our front page so that Myspace won’t delete us for sending you update messages. They are wankers.
August 21st , this Thursday, is a very special show at the Buffalo Bar with Cibelle / Serafina Steer and Horton Jupiter from They Came From The Stars (I Saw Them) Djing. Cibelle’s only other London date this year is at Bush Hall which is much more expewnsive than ours so this may well be the only time you get to see her in such an intimate venue.
Plus have a look on our front page for updates on the new nights at the Luminaire (we’re rather excited) and have a look at the website www. bigcityredneck. co. uk for new interviews with Cindy Wilson of the B-52s, Mudhoney and Brute Chorus. Looks out for new interviews with Don’t Letts and Health….
Who needs shit-smeared, vomit-strewn toilets, warm, expensive beers and all your stuff nicked when you can stay in London and enjoy these tasty treats?
TICKETS FOR ALL BIG CITY REDNECK EVENTS ARE AVAILABLE FROM WEGOTTICKETS. PLEASE FIND LINK ON OUR FRONT PAGE.
Hello Formsx3 I did share a stage with you once at Corisca Studios...remember the electrical hum? Thanks for taking our add.. read something about you and it reminded me that you are pretty darn good.
Yeh the trip home was fine, not one wrong turn which makes a change and we all got our glasto tickets without to much hassle. Cheers for last nite again guys, will let you know about any possibility of a gig down here after weve sorted a few more things out.
The first of a monthly gig night at the Buffalo Bar hosted by Big City Redneck... You coming? Should be rather swellegant!

The Chap http://www.myspace.com/thechap “Like Underworld if they’d decided to be a lo-fi rock and roll combo instead of a stadium-selling dance act. Stunning, it’s ridiculous, but in a great way.” Vice Mag
The Guillotines http://www.myspace.com/headswillrockandroll “Snarling spunk-punkers The Guillotines come across like Gallows meeting the Rat Pack, with a flame-haired Lauren Bacall wielding a bass, outside a Brighton S&M shop psyching themselves up to buy leather gimp masks. Wanton sax appeal, voodoo rock'n'roll magnetism and growling dirty lounge” NME
Creepy Morons http://www.myspace.com/thecreepymorons “The thunderous blues crunch of The Creepy Morons first materialised in 2005 having risen from the ashes of Hot Tradition and The Beatings. I know its rubbish when I merely regurgitate information from a myspace, but when a band describes its influences as ‘Women, Drinking and Death’, and their sound as ‘Drunken monkeys assembling an Ikea butchers block’, I’d be daft not to.” Jon Hillcock, XFM
