Hanging out with For the Fallen vocalist TYLER CORR off stage isn’t much different from seeing him present on stage during a performance. Full of life, energy and passion, CORR’s personality reflects the music that For the Fallen writes and performs. In 2006, CORR joined rhythm guitarist and backing vocalist Dylan Young, drummer JOSEPH CANTRELL and bass guitarist Derek Cofer. After adding Jairus Roark at lead guitar, the original For the Fallen, based out of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, was born on a cold December day in 2006.
In JUNE OF 2008, Roark and Cofer departed from the band, leaving original members Corr, Young and Cantrell. In SEPTEMBER OF 2008, the band added current lead guitarist NIC YSIANO and then in FEBRUARY OF 2009, For the Fallen landed current bass guitarist NATE ADAMS. In OCTOBER OF 2009, Young departed from the band.
While classified with having a ROCK GENRE, For the Fallen continues to possess a unique sound of their own. Smooth, driving and consistent sounds as well as meaningful lyrics are all vital components that For the Fallen considers when writing music.
TYLER CORR is from Chickasha, Oklahoma and currently resides in Edmond, Oklahoma. He is well known for his strong voice and the pure energy he brings to the stage. Tyler contributes not only by voicing the lyrical content that FTF writes, but also by playing a role in writing the actual lyrics. He is a 2003 graduate of Chickasha High School. Corr's interests include hunting, fishing, camping, camp fires, mountain biking, going to the lake, surfing, ocean kayaking, ping pong, soccer, football, people-watching, being outdoors, loud music, concerts, friends, poker, Lamborghinis, singing, good movies, cooking, writing music, family, San Diego, beaches and working out. An interesting fact about Corr that most people don't know is that his mom
made him go to modeling school when he was 10 years old and he auditioned for 2 movies. Corr uses a SHURE SM58 microphone.
JOE CANTRELL grew up in Anadarko, Oklahoma. Joe has a lot of experience in the drumming industry and has been drumming since he was very young. Cantrell played drums in a high school band and actually played the snare drum in the school marching band from 6th to 9th grade. Cantrell contributes to the band not only by playing the drums and percussion tactics if called for, but also by playing a role in the music-writing process. Cantrell is a 2005 graduate of the University of Oklahoma and a 2002 graduate of Anadarko High School. Joseph's interests include music, sports, YouTube browsing, movie-buffing, surfing the web, electronics, drums and many other things. NIC YSIANO Born in California, Nic has lived in Arizona, Texas, and Missouri, and then finally after many years of life on the road, landed in
Oklahoma. Nic moved from Oklahoma City, OK to Shawnee where he
attended private school at Liberty Acadamy and graduated in 2004. Nic's
father (R.I.P.) was a musician, which explains all the time spent on the road
as well as Nic's passion and skillset for music. Nic started out playing
cello in elementry school, then picked up bass guitar in middle school.
Shortly thereafter, he picked up guitar and has been playing guitar ever since. Ysiano met vocalist Tyler Corr at work in Oklahoma City, OK. Nic not only performs the lead riffs for the band, he also plays a major role in the writing process. Nic enjoys meeting new people, spending time with close friends and family, and turning up the volume. Nic uses Line 6 amp and cabs, Line 6 pedal for live effects, Fender and Gibson guitars.
NATE ADAMS graduated from Stillwell High School in 2005. Nate now resides in Edmond, Oklahoma where he is a senior at the University of Central Oklahoma, majoring in Biology/Pre-Dental. Nate contributes to the band not only by playing bass but also by playing a role in the writing process. Adams has been playing the bass guitar since he was in the 8th grade. His musicianship doesn't stop there. He also dabbles around on the guitar, piano, as well as the ukulele. Nate's hobbies include hanging out with his fiance Vickie, watching the History Channel and AdultSwim, playing and writing music, turning up his Zune to 11, being with friends and fam, skimboarding, playing soccer, and cooking. A couple of interesting facts about Nate is he actually played bass guitar once with the great Dave Hope: bass player for the band "Kansas". Also, Mr. Adams once won a million dollars from a M&Ms bag in high school, but didn't know it and threw away the package but it was too late. Nate plays a '78 Fender Jazz Bass, Warwick Corvette, Schecter Stilleto Custom 4, and a Takamine A/E through a Line 6 Lowdown 300. He uses Electroharmonix Big Muff Pi, Line 6 FBV Shortboard, and a SansAmp Bass DI for digital effects.
