Londoner, born n bred, have had many jobs (cleaner, waitress, book shop assistant, secretary, PA) but have always been creative; writing poetry since my teens, even published a slim volume called 'Nightsong' back in the early 80s. Was in a punk band. But until recently, no real singing experience! Have lived on my own since i was just 16, when my dad died and i was left with no home. Survived homelessness for 2 years. I learnt to dance when i was 30. I took up singing when i was 45! I've had to contend with some serious illness in the last 8 years or more, resulting in lots of tests and drugs. I'm a survivor, tho', and being involved again in music has been amazing. I'm glad to be alive. I'm a singer with songs!
