In June of 2005, we were driving somewhere in Peterborough, and someone suggested that the time had come to pick a name for ourselves. We’d been officially playing together for about a month and had not really thought about it. The Weathermen, the Paddles, Oats,Peas, Beans and Barley, and others even less memorable were thrown around.
Then someone spoke up, “I think the name should just come to us.’
“Yeah,” echoed another in the car, “Let’s not try and force it, we’ll know when we hear it.”
There was a short silence while The Pink Ghost by the Acorn filled the air.
“What about Franks Road?”
The rest they say, is contemporary.
Sounds great. We should talk more about the 4th. Perhaps I will see you at the Grad Club?

Seems like that festival has been cancelled, you better try fredericton on Sunday or St. Andrew's on monday. Just found out, Thanks for your kind words. I'll look for that one
Hey guys! Wow, we were just checking out your songs, and from one camp band to another, amazing! Just thought we'd let you know, our drummer does some promotions and bookings around here, and he's looking to throw together some folk shows.
Sounds like wind blowing in a wheatfield, train rolling down the line, rain coming down on a old tin shed, steel, wire and a rusty heart. Boots of leather and dust and ash. Mollasess and coal and stone. Wedding rings and buried bones of love broken and burnt. Tales and the footprints, ravenswings and souls are earnt."
i see you guys have a gig on the 11th...but if you have time beforehand, come out to the grad club at 8, i'm only playing for 45 minutes or so, maybe you can catch some. maybe i'll see you play after :) because i'm sure we're all not busy enough as it is.
Nice stuff. Sounds like this cofee house in Tweed is worth checking out.
Keep in touch.

Why don't you have a recording of "Thanks Trees". Just curious, because I feel it is fast becoming a perennial favourite. No pun intended. Seriously.
