In the meantime the history - Frantic Turtle merges poetry, music, and performance into philosophically viral mixtures like existentialist dancehall, punk-prayer, and toasted jazz poetry. Thanks for the add, we are glad to have you on our friend's list. as you know we are a hyper-charged power band from Toronto, we would like to know you better. Tell us something random about yourself and we will also.

I feel for the underdog but I am definitely a winner
My problem is I seek lower companionship
And I associate too much to the people who don't have the same drive and hunger as I do
It's that old comfort thing we all do

We tend to gravitate towards warm and safe places that remind us of the womb
Where nothing is either ventured nor gained
When other people don't do what I expect of them
I now go for a run

I run until I get the expectation out of my system
    That's all a resentment is
    An unmet expectation
    Not everyone wants to win

Not everyone wants to be all they can be
That is perfecly OK with me
I have fun just navigating my way through my own daily trials
And life is pretty fun right now

I feel in control of my own life
I must be a rare bird because I can find very few people I can relate to
Can you relate to being hungry and wanting to win?
Can you relate to being competitive and taking life like a game?

Can you break from that and consider others when they need you?
Can you tell when someone is holding you back?
Can you tell when you're being BS'd by phony mofos?
    I can
And even tho I don't like it life goes on

Look, I haven't had pussy since pussy had me
But I know I look good
I work out and take really good care of myself
If bitches don't want that then fuck em

    I don't care anymore
    Life is too short
Worshiping air headed little bimbos and shallow people is not on my to do list anymore
I am going to pay off my debt

Because debt is a spiritual sickness
I am going to save my money to put down on a house
And then I'm going to invest in hunting and camping equipment
And then I am going to go see the world from the side that most people don't see it

And I'm going to do it with those that I love

    100,000,000 people and going strong
    a wave of attraction
Worldwide and in every little town and hamlet
    We are known

    Wherever rivers flow
    Emitting sounds
The Siren's cry and the Dragon's wail
Forged from steel deep within the earth's crust

    Trekking far and wide
Opening doors and tearing down walls
From back alleys to concert halls
    Everyone's welcome

    Bring a pint of whiskey
    Bring your troubled heart
Feel electricity pulse through your veins
Gallop at a full clip like a cheetah

    As your heart races
You fear it may be too much to bare
    Yet you are indestructible
You are a gladiator from ancient Rome
    Long live Maximo

Long may you stain the memory of man
And make him praise your name
You died by a traitor's knife
    But you conquered the many

And as the sea of human bodies sways too and fro
The lights flicker through the evening mist
    On this night
    At this moment
    We are free

Free from the tyranny of evil men
    Free from what lies beneath
Free from the shadows that lurk in our minds
    Free from the beast

New poem to get your day started off right:

    Just for today

  • Brian Bills

    spiritual beings in physical bodies

    Bombs would be bursting
    Dread locks unfurled
Gorilla warfare with Cuban cigars and berets
And I never really liked cake

    Neat little rows of houses
    Passing time by wasting it
    Never went outside my door
And I hate the smell of thrift stores
They smell like dead people's stuff

Simple Simon relax and let go
    Handle the small things
    Work your way up
Back off when it gets boring

I walk and I wag it
    It slaps on both sides
It gets hard when your near me
That was fun let's do it again

And the sum total of man's feeble efforts
    Will crumble and fall
Like the nose on the Sphynx
Some retarded Jackass will steal it and pawn it for a fix

    But when I run
    It's like I'm a thoroughbred quarter horse
    Stretching my legs
    With the music blasting
    My butt will get tight
    You'll see

And everything is on sale at Walmart
We are being outsourced and watered down
From the board room to the ball room
    From sea to shining sea
That bright and shiny stars and stripes

    Has been stolen
That ideal of equality was hijacked
Since the heros of the republic were gunned down
    JFK and Martin Luther King
    We were born into slavery
    Slavery of thought
    Slavery of poverty

Lost was our freedom of joy and brotherhood
    Lost was our community spirit
Lost was the trust we had in our neighbor
Lost was our faith in the good of our fellow man
Lost was the easy chair on the porch
    Lost was slumber parties

After the "Our Fathers" I turned to my neighbors
And nobody would shake my hand
Or even give me an acknowledging half smile
Instead they are just heeding the warning of the times
    Never talk to strangers
Never smile at someone you don't know

    Especially if it's a guy
He must just want something from you
And I'm not afraid you won't like this
You don't like anything that you don't understand
You can't understand why anyone would be different than you

    But
