Franz Kasper is something that happens when you try to play dirty Rock music without being dull. This can be alone or most of the time with some friends, who lack the ability to play the same rhythms, licks and phrases they heard and played for years again and again. FK occured first in Cologne, Germany in 2001 and never disappeared since then. For quite a while now it has found its solid structure out of a German rock drummer, a German trumpet player (the list of the worlds greatest jazz musicians he never played with sounds like the Who is Who of Jazz), a (one is willing to say: the) Polish jazz and hardcore violinist, the best looking Dutch double- and E-bass player, an engineer who makes them sound like Franz Kasper and not to forget: a singer/songwriter so deeply franzkasperized that he even calls himself Franz Kasper.

Bonjour! Have a listen to the new collaboration of poetry/music with TOHAN, Incantations at San Tomà. From Transcriptions of Time, the poem was written with memory of love for a place in Venice and with belief in new love acheived in a place of the same name in Toulouse, ten years later. This poem also connects ground-ocean-sky, senses of weightlessness acheived in them.
