Beefcake Burlesque
Beefcake Burlesque is a Portland group made up of a broad and titillating combination of queer masculinites. Combining machismo with a little bump and a lot of grind we aim to explore, examine and explode the world of boy-lesque. Grab a seat and get ready to sink your teeth into a little beefcake!
Cattitude
Clackamas Community Cat Club strives to create cat-based art in a supportive, loving environment. Through interactive workshops, community building and outreach, we hope to create a cozy catmosphere for all feline friends. We're the cat's meow!
The Gender Fluids
The Gender Fluids is Lee Kyle, Kaj-anne Pepper, and Chad Tolson, a performance trio that utilizes movement, multi-media, and language to create a raw and unexpected demonstration of gender. Birthed from a night of Queer Fetish, The Gender Fluids approach subjects that range from the deeply personal to the absurdity of modern society.
The Gender Offenders
The Gender Offenders are a loose knit crew of circus artists, gender performers, burlesque beauties, and all around creative folk. Founded in 2006 over slices of pizza at the local queer-owned Backroad Pizza in Santa Fe, NM, this troupe has been breaking hearts and wowing sold out audiences ever since. Gender Offenders infuse subtle politics with physical theater and humor making every show a unique, side-splitting, thought-provoking experience.
Kings N Things
Kings N Things, Austin's Premier Drag King Troupe, is a performance troupe of humans who consciously perform gender in the spirit of non-conformity. Our shows provide a forum for a mixture of fun entertainment and serious activism on gender-related subjects, as well as many other socio-political issues. Past performances have tackled subjects such as restroom access, violence against women, capitalism, and "Resident" Bush. Sometimes satirical, sometimes straight forward, sometimes just silly - the shows tend to invoke a wide range of emotions. The troupe regularly uses its performances as a platform to contribute to the greater community. Over the past six years, Kings N Things has raised over $20,000 for various charitable organizations in the Austin Community.
KO & Co. Katrina T. O’Brien, artistic director of KO&Co., blends tactile athletitism with the play of perception. You might just remember her blow up doll ladies at TBA's 10 Tiny Dance. She has shown her work throughout the Northeast including Thornes APE, Mobius, Wistariahurst Museum, University Settlement and since moving to OR in 2005, TBA Ten Tiny Dances, PerformanceWorks NW, Conduit, Capital Hill Art Center, DougFir, and Holocene. She has worked with Lost Arts Dance, The Ensemble Project, HawleyMartin, Tikkun Aerial Co., Stephen Koplowitz & Co. and Linda Austin Dance. KO&Co. will next be seen in this summer’s Ten Tiny Dances. Chane Gilbert, born is Gallop, NM, biked across Oregon after being raised on dance and athletics; soccer, track, tennis, trampoline, stunting, gymnastics, jazz, tap and had a stint as a cheerleader and aerobics instructor. After recommitting to dance, Gilbert has since taught and choreographed dances for foster care youth, interns and takes weekly classes with Conduit Dance, and performed at Idapalooza in ‘05 & ’06.
The Smarmy Chorus Girls
Hailing from the infamous Windy City, this group of veteran performers draws inspiration from their roots in drag kinging, burlesque, theater, dance, music, and puppetry. These flamboyant characters have been spotted sharing the stage with Blow n Go, Breakbone Dance Co., The Chicago Kings, Chicago Red Hots, Gurlesque Burlesque, Heartless B!tch, and A Sordid Collective. Now they've come together to form a one-time freak-show dream-team based on a mutual love of cheeky attitudes and all things shiny.
Thisway/Thatway
Thisway/Thatway: queer black-panamanian intermedia performance artist who enjoys the happy collision of glitter and theory. He is pretty sure his childhood obsession with jigsaw puzzles and movie musicals made her queer. The consummate candy-fag, Thisway/Thatway feels kinship with other habitual line-steppers. She ran amok with the finest of Washington, D.C.'s drag/burly-q scene before wandering to California's Bay area. When not on stage, Thisway/Thatway can be seen as "smarty-pants student" at Mills College.
The Vagabonds
The Vagabonds was born when Jodi Bon Jodi and Pillowcake Pumpkinpants of DK PDX met Max Voltage and Polly Anne Marie of the Ubergay Cabaret. They had a dream. They wanted to share their joy for obscure gender performance with the masses. Train hopping their way through the states and bringing their unique blend of street style and lyrical movement to audiences across this great nation, The Vagabonds bring joy to the world and put hope in the hearts of all their fans.
Sossity Chiricuzio (Host)
Sossity Chiricuzio is a diesel femme, an unapologetic activist, and a renegade writer and poet. she's the producer and mc of dirty queer, an x-rated open mic, and designs retrotech clothing and home decor as well as websites. she revels in the beautiful freaks of this world, and making art with them that inspires, challenges and catalyzes.

Freakshow-a-Go-Go FAGG Austin was GAYMAZING! yay to the Austin Drag Collective for keeping the freakiness alive! Posted at 6:55 AM Jun 2 view more
About me: FREAKSHOW-A-GO-GO 2008, PORTLAND, OR:
In May of 2008, Pants-Off Productions produced Freakshow-a-Go-Go, and brought together some of the hottest queers to hit the Portland stage, including performers from Chicago, Austin, San Francisco and Santa Fe as well as local artists. The show was such a success that performers from Kings N Things in Austin, TX have decided to carry on the legacy, and produce & host Freakshow-a-Go-Go in May, 2009! Stay tuned for details.
Mission Statement:
As freaks, we use the stage to claim space for our genders, our sexualities and our bodies. We perform our freakiness and thus reveal new definitions of sexy. We dislodge notions of "normal" and create new narratives. From the stage, we can effect change, in ourselves and in our audience. We can re-claim Freakshows as an empowered art form, a show where instead of being objectified, we perform our freakiness in sexy, fun, campy, inspirational, and revolutionary ways.
Who I'd like to meet: freaks. queers. outsiders. performers. clowns. trannies. ring leaders. dykes. hipsters. lion tamers. faggots. bearded ladies. tattooed homos. people who'd like to run away and join the circus.
