Hey, we have posted a test mix (a teaser!) of THE ETHEREAL DREAM featuring former HELLOWEEN singer master Michael Kiske. It's not a heavy track.. but there are still some rocking parts with high vocals! Two different versions of this song will appear on our debut. Drogheda based metal band Freakwency have been playing together for the last 6 years. After a few line up changes the band established themselves with a host of fans, and began playing local gigs with bigger and bigger audiences every time. In the last few years Freakwency have been gigging regularly around Ireland.
The best way to describe Freakwency would be to say that they bear a resemblance to Pantera meets Anthrax with a trace of Slayer and an extensive contribution of their own unique ingenuity, headed by one of the most dynamic and entertaining frontmen in Irish metal Freakwency play a powerful, engaging and energetic live performance! Freakwency play predominantly their own tracks, and have done so from the beginning.
Freakwency have had the pleasure of sharing the stage with some of Irelands most admired metal bands, such as Celtic Legacy, Viocosis, Apocalyptic Masterpiece, Two Tales of Woe, Oberoth, d’Evolution, Solace of Nadir and Nocturnal Holocaust to name but a few. In 2008 the Freak boys played alongside German Metal band Barracuda in Crúiscín Lán, Cork.
Ths year has also seen Freakwency enter The Crypt Trials, Irelands all metal battle of the bands, the Freak boys came through two heats to get to the FINAL which takes place on December the 6th!!! Wish us luck!!!
Freakwency are working on their first full length album and hope to have it released sometime in '09. The album will include 10 original Freakwency tracks, including Tortured, D.O.F., and Finally. Check out the Freakwency tracks we have up here alreadly (Scarred For Life sounds great!)
