Fredda se promène dans nos oreilles déjà depuis 2002 tantôt en revisitant les bluettes des années 60 avec « Radiomatic », tantôt sur scène aux cotés de Pascal Parisot. En 2007, elle sort enfin son album « Toutes mes aventures » et comprime son nom, Frédérique Dastrevigne, en Fredda. Ce premier opus est une petite pépite aux mélodies lumineuses, où elle nous raconte avec des mots tendres sa vie d’avant. L'album se balade beaucoup en dehors de nos frontières, en Allemagne, en Autriche et encore plus curieux aux USA. Inspirée par ses tournées étrangères elle se souvient aussi de son parcours précoce de Globe-trotteuse et se penche alors sur la réalisation d'un deuxième volume, «Marshmallow Paradise », une autofiction retraçant un long voyage en Amérique effectué en 1989.
12 chansons qui prennent l’allure de photographies musicales. Une aventure sur les routes doublée d’une aventure intérieure. Sa voix, ses mélodies suaves, son banjo ensoleillé nous envoûtent et sur scène son charme et sa présence captivent.

LE POP MUSIC BIOGRAPHIE (2007) /
"Hi Fredda. What nice songs you have!", read a note left by British musician Mr. Wright at Fredda's myspace-page, hitting the nail on the head. Fredda (whose real life name is Frédérique Dastrevigne) is one of the most interesting singer in the Nouvelle Scène Française movement. And yet she's been around for awhile. We first noticed her arresting presence on stage back in 2003 on a concert in Cologne, where she sang duets with her partner Pascal Parisot. Consequently Fredda and Parisot became part of Le Pop en duo ("Tout va bien"). The following year we featured Fredda's up-tempo hit "Les Copines d'abord" on Le Pop 3 as a world premiere. Since then the song has become a staple of our Le Pop-Parties and a guaranteed ice breaker for any dance floor. "Toutes mes aventures" is Fredda's first album; it was released in June 2007 on her own label in France.
"Toutes mes aventures" is a fascinating string of ten perfect timeless pop pearls. Ten irresistible melodies, carried by an enchanting voice, that features qualities rarely found in female French singers: Neither Lolita-style pop-breather nor dramatic chanteuse, Fredda sings with the confidence of a performer, who's learned her trade from scratch, and she plays the banjo. Pascal Parisot accompanies her on the piano and provides string and horn arrangements between New-Orleans-Dixie and Parisian Swing. Thus Fredda and Parisot reproduce the typically French division of author-composer and arranger – showcasing the stunning talents of the couple. It's no surprise then, that the string and horn arrangements are always much more then just an extra to the great song writing and singing talent of Fredda. They add unbelievable hook lines wrapped in extraordinary sounds. The opener "Barry White" proves this point in exemplary fashion: Less homage to the stocky soul singer than nostalgic reminiscence about the period, when Fredda frequented clubs and danced to Barry-White-Songs under disco lights. A slow beat and Philly strings bring this sensuous atmosphere to life. "Barry White" illustrates Fredda's approach to song writing: always look for the musical equivalent to what the song is all about. And it proves her incredible talent when it comes to writing melodies that will stick with you for ever. In a word: "Barry White" is a hit! One of ten!
