‘Like evil uncles who play doctor? How about murderous robots? Then you'll want to check out Freudstein's latest because we all need some Mass Market Misery. Freudstein's Mass Market Misery is a nightmarish sideshow showcasing the strange and the macabre. In their usual fashion, the band gives listeners more horror film sounds mixed with electronic beats that's exquisitely put together in this horrific soundscape...As a whole, the band seems to have a mission to be as creepy as possible with this new, harder, darker, and more twisted set of tracks, which they accomplish beautifully. If you wish everyday could be Halloween, then you'll want to pick up Mass Market Misery.’ (5/5) - Regen Magazine

War Child works with children affected by war in Iraq, Afghanistan, Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda. We work with children who have been hit hardest by the joint forces of poverty, conflict and social exclusion. Our groundbreaking work with former child soldiers, street children and children in prison has supported and helped thousands who would otherwise not have been able to reintegrate with their community, gain access to education or enjoy sustainable livelihood support. War Child is a charity that works with children living in war zones.
The children we work with participate directly in our decision making and project design. In this way our projects reflect their needs not ours.
War Child works closely with other aid organisations and local and national government to ensure the knowledge and skills gained through our work are shared with as many people as possible. In this way we are able to help many more children than we can hope to reach directly.
I am looking for inspiring images to be made into a coffee table book to be sold worldwide/
Visual Artists must supply an image of a tasteful nature as it is a childrens charity. All the proceeds will go to WARCHILD.
The deadline for submissions is June 25th.
Please send a high res j.peg of the image you wish to submit along with your contact details and words describing the image.
SEVEN is incredibly proud to present a night of laughs and brilliant musicianship with ADRIAN EDMONDSON and THE BAD SHEPHERDS!
Saturday May 23rd
"The Bad Shepherds play punk songs on folk instruments. Not as a gag, but because we really like the noise. We think the songs are better than people remember. We love folk instruments. It works.
We do songs by The Sex Pistols, The Clash, The Stranglers The Jam, Sham 69, The Undertones, Talking Heads, Squeeze and others, even Kraftwerk! Alright, they're not all punk, but they come from roughly the same era.
We've mostly given the songs a kind of Celtic feel, and we've stuck in the odd reel and jig here and there. But occassionally we just thrash! I've always thought the excitement of a reel taking off is the nearest thing to the excitement of watching punk live in the 70's."
Hey there. We’ve got some new tracks up. We’re also playing at the Steampunk Hidden Cabaret at the Marlborough Little Theatre, Brighton on Saturday, 21st Feb. Music’s from 7.
