About me: R. Michelson Galleries and Five Ties Publishing are happy to announce the publication of the Full Body Project Book with an introduction by Natalie Angier, Pulitzer Prize Winning and best-selling author of the book WOMAN and an afterward by Anne Tucker, photo curator at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.
The intent and purpose of this page is to join together fans of the book, The Full Body Project, to bring you in touch with the models and their activism for HAES (Health At Every Size), Body and Size Acceptance.
The models would like to thank Leonard Nimoy for giving his permission for this page, his vision and creative endeavors with this project, showcasing how beautiful every one is - no matter their size, especially as their size is represented in these photographs.
"I think they're beautiful. Don't you?" - Leonard Nimoy.
"Any time there is a fat person onstage as anything besides the butt of a joke, it’s political. Add physical movement, then dance, then sexuality and you have a revolutionary act.”
--Heather MacAllister, founder of Fat-Bottom Revue/Big Burlesque
Leonard Nimoy is interviewed in the Winter 2008 issue of Carrie Leigh's NUDE magazine. It features images from the book, Full Body Project. You can purchase this magazine at Borders, Hastings, Hudsons or order it via their website today. Thanks!
Note: Lady Monster would like to thank Missy for inspiring me to create a MySpace page, Jukie Sunshine for encouraging me to create it, and Leonard for his permission.
Hi, thanks for the add. Saw the Full Body project show at the Louis Stern Gallery back in January. But I wish Mr. Nimoy would update his website. Thank you! Great Great photography.
Thanks for befriending Junonia! We’re so happy to see such a strong showing from the plus-size women’s community on MySpace. Our page is still a work in progress, but be sure to check in frequently for deals and discounts exclusively for our MySpace friends.
