Proof, FxFarmer und Bobby Kudlicz: die drei Headz aus dem Süden Deutschlands, welche das Projekt Funkanomics Ende 2006 ins Leben gerufen haben, toben sich seitdem in den Gefilden neuer deutscher elektronischer Musik aus und vermischen in Ihren Produktionen die strikte formale Strenge hart konturierter Elektronik mit der pulsierenden Lebendigkeit der fliessenden Emotionalität von Funk. Sound, der wie für die Tanzfläche geschaffen ist und diese mittels schönen knackigen Basslines, gepaart mit pumpenden Grooves in Begeisterung stürzt. Eine Fusion, die funktioniert und nicht zur Ruhe kommen will. Frischer Wind, frischer Atem, frischer Sound vom Bodensee.
In Ihren Sets versuchen die Funkos weniger mit Plattenkoffern voller Jigga-HipHop oder Chart-House zu kokketieren, sondern größtenteils eben Ihren Sound zu präsentieren. Breakbeat mit Einflüssen aus HipHop, Funk, Dope Beats, Reggae und Electro kennzeichnet die Funkanomic-Sets. Hier wird gegen den Strich konventionellen DJings gebürstet und doch so eingeschmeichelt, dass man den Sound keine drei Male hören muss, um Ihn nicht mehr aus dem Ohr zu bekommen. Somit wird der Mob erst aus dem Konzept und dann zum kreischen gebracht, um fantasievolles tanzen und offenenen Umgang, sprich mehr "Sex" auf der Tanzfläche zuzulassen. Alles ohne Zuckerhut-Allüren und ausschließlich von ehrlichem, knisternden Vinyl.
Seit 2007 sind die "Funkos" exklusiv bei Rocstar Records in UK, dem Label von Cut la Roc gesigned und produzieren derzeit fleissig an Ihrem Album, welches 2009 erscheinen und weltweit verkauft werden soll. In Zusammenarbeit mit Artists aus UK und USA wird es in viele verschiedene Richtungen gehen: Funk, Breakbeat und HipHop ganz vorne !!!

The Funkanomics definately bring more “sex” on the dancefloor, in order to keep the crowd screaming and dancing.
