Il progetto FunzioneRandom nasce nel gennaio del 2009 ad opera di Michael Cottin (chitarre e voce, autore dei testi e delle musiche) che in seguito a diverse esperienze con altre formazioni pop-rock, decide di convogliare energie e idee in questa nuova esperienza. Ma non è semplice trovare persone con gli stessi gusti musicali e soprattutto con la stessa motivazione...fin quando non si ha l'incontro con Simone Balilla (basso), Riccardo Nestola (batteria) e Luigi Cordella (synth e pianoforte) che decidono di cimentarsi in questo nuovo progetto. La band è finalmente al completo. Le influenze riguardano la scena del pop-rock anglosassone dagli anni '90 ad oggi, con qualche piacevole rimembranza della psichedelia anni '70.

The project FunzioneRandom born in January 2009 by Michael Cottin (guitars and vocals, songwriter) that after several experiences with other pop-rock formations, decides to channel energies and ideas into this new experience. But it is not easy to find people with similar musical tastes, and above all with the same motivation ... until we have the meeting with Simon Balilla (bass), Richard Nestola (drums) and Luigi Cordella (synth and piano) who decide to embark on this new project. The band is finally complete. The influences affecting the scene of Anglo pop-rock from the 90s to today, with some pleasant recollection of the '70s psychedelic music.
