Explorers is a teen internship and volunteer program at Chabot Space & Science Center in the greater
Oakland area, CA.
Participants in this immersion program benefit from fun, hands-on and interactive science
enrichment classes, training, volunteer opportunities, and paid internships. They learn to
explain concepts in astronomy, space, and science to visitors of the Science Center. They
perform outreach activities in neighborhood schools and community centers to involve all
members of the Oakland community in the opportunities available at one of the most
innovative science centers in the United States.
Who I'd like to meet:
Teens in the Bay Area, ages 13-17 that are ready to have fun learning about science, gain vital work experience, meet other teens, work off community service hours and have some fun!
