Hello! I'm Marco. I was born in 1986 and at the age of twelve I've learned from my father how to play guitar. In 2000 I've bought my first electric guitar and started writing some songs. In 2005 I've bought my midi controller to arrange the songs with every kind of virtual instrument. Lately my friend Emiliano Pedruzzi joined me to be the super-guitar god and bass wizard! And now we are here, to share our music with you guys! Hope you like it! :)

...È un qualcosa di fondamentale, l’imprevedibilità.
Soprattutto in un genere alchemico come quello del Gandalf’s Project, al secolo Marco Chiappini, in cui vengono alla luce sonorità e accostamenti piuttosto inaspettati, oltre che azzeccatissimi.
A costruire lo spessore dei brani sono soprattutto gli arrangiamenti ricercati, le melodie intriganti sulla scia dei lavori più accessibili dei Tangerine Dream, e soprattutto certi stacchi dal sapore vagamente esotico. Esotico nel senso puro del termine: lontano, estraneo, che ci rimanda con la mente a luoghi indefiniti e sconosciuti... Pietro Terzi, ArtistsAndBands.org
...le sei tracce del suo primo demo si propongono di suggerire suggestioni variopinte, frammenti di paesaggio, più simili a bozze preparatorie per progetti a venire che a canzoni fatte e compiute. Così possono essere interpretati i pregevoli riflessi electro/ambient di “Imaginary Landscapes”, o le meno ispirate velleità prog metal di “Okonkwo’s Hut”. Anche fra gli echi orientali di “India’s Secret”, il brano più lungo della scaletta con i suoi sei primi di estensione, ci si trova innanzi a una peregrinazione strumentale almeno in parte svincolata dalla canonica forma canzone, gravida di potenzialità ancora da realizzare appieno.
Ciò non toglie che dietro questo primo assaggio dei Gandalf’s Project si possa riconoscere una mano piuttosto ispirata. Sarà necessario in futuro sviluppare in modo più approfondito le idee qui accennate, nell’ottica di un progetto più solido e maturo.
