    This German quartet's funk metal style comes across as a heavier and more explosive version of No Doubt's ska-influenced rock. Comprising Sandra Nasic (vocals), Henning Rümenapp (guitar), Stefan Ude (bass), Dennis Poschwatta (drums), Guano Apes originally formed during 1994 in their home-town of Goettingen, Germany. Influenced by Primus and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, the quartet's first break came two years after their formation, when they took the top spot at a Local Heroes competition held by VIVA (Germany's leading music television station). Shortly thereafter, Guano Apes issued a single, "Open Your Eyes", that became a substantial hit in Germany, peaking inside the Top 10. Their debut, Proud Like A God, was released in 1997, but it was not until two years later that it was issued in America. After several other singles were issued in their homeland (establishing the band as one of Germany's top rock acts), Guano Apes issued their second album, Don't Give Me Names. Proud Like A God (Super Sonic/RCA 1997)***, Don't Give Me Names (Super Sonic 2000)***, Walking On A Thin Line (Super Sonic 2003)**.     am 10.11.12 steigt im Backstage München das Hellbooking Festival. Auf die Ohren gibts dabei das Besste aus Rock und Pop der nächsten 10 Jahre !!

    hey, ihr seid eine der geilsten bands der welt, aber warum muss sandra sich so im fensehen verkaufen?? habt ihr nicht genug kohle?  hab euch jetz schon zwei mal in leipzig gesehen und das auf eurer "abschiedstour" und auf eurem "comback". Der Gesang ist überangend geil und der Bass ist einfach  nur beneidenswert, vom Schlagzeug ganz zu schweigen. ich kann mir nicht vorstellen, wie es ist, immer mehr geld angeboten zu bekommen, aber ich hoffe ihr fahrt einen gang runter und macht einfach nur mukke!!!! denn das könnt ihr am besten. liebe Grüße aus L.E.
