Garrett Nordstrom Situation is the vehicle for singer-songwriter Garrett Nordstrom. The first full length record by the band is called Blue Flag, Black Heart. Nordstrom has enlisted the talents of vocalist Jen Johnson and Meshell Nelson to share the signing duties making up a powerful vocal attack. The current lineup is made up of longtime Nordstrom drummer/collaborator Scot Eldridge, bassist Justin Rogers, multi-instrumentalist Rich “Willy” Wood, vocalists Jen Johnson, Meshell Nelson and lead guitarist Patrick Goodwin. The Situation also includes violinist Amory Bottorff from time to time. The group’s “Alt-R&B” combines supple funk with rich harmonies, uptempo rockers with folksy instrumentals to create a record which is currently receiving critical review.
We really enjoyed the show at Magoon's last night. You were, as always, awesome! You and Chad seemed to be enjoying yourselves...and we enjoyed watching you.
