    Hi Gary,
I've been your myspace friend for a few months and had no idea that you were the drummer on the Fire on the Mountain album. I was really preoccupied at the time I was adding friends from Nashville. I didn't always look at their sites very closely. Figured I'd get 'em in my friends and catch up later. When that album came out I owned it. I was thirteen. Still have it at my brother's house.  It still rates with me as a masterpiece. Wow! You were there. I'm amazed. Wanted to share that. Good luck on the gigs. I'm looking too. Peace and love,

Hey, Bud! Thanks for posting my song.
We sure change, as the years go by, don't we? What I lost in hair and teeth, I gained in pounds around my middle, though, so it all comes out even, right?

i've decided to change my name to omar and move to delaware and become a carpet salesman and adopt an elderly, bifocaled albino squirrel named buford who wears a chef's hat and walks with a limp. that will be a good life. i will send postcards.

    that is all.

Where Musicians Meet Bands & Songs Meet Singers TennesseeConcerts/MusicCityMix.com

GARY@TENNESSEECONCERTS.COM

Introducing a new concept for musicians nationwide. It's called getting off the couch and networking. The work doesn't come to you, only the landlord, boomerangs and junk mail do that. It's inexpensive and I offer hands on service with a combo package that also features you in my music biz newsletter THE MUSIC CITY BEAT! My service is affordable and it's working already. I'm not beating out the competition. there isn't any. I'm the only game in town for professionals.

Gary Allen, host of The Play It Again Jam, and drummer/songwriter for international acts The Charlie Daniels Band, JJ Cale and Grand Opry Star Stonewall Jackson, has debuted Nashville's first professional musicians referral service, run by a player that has been there and back many times. Sign up for an introductory price of $50 that takes you until 2011. If you join up before New Years Eve 2010 you can sign up for life for $100. No other charges ever as long as I have breath and bandwidth.

Most of the jam squad have already started networking and browsing the new service; hooking up with working bands and artists. We have players signed up from bands such as Lita Ford, Rick Derringer, The Four Tops, Peter Frampton, Blackfoot, Molly Hatchett, The Charlie Daniels Band, Peter Noone, Percy Sledge, The Platters, JJ Cale, Jerry Reed, Travis Tritt, Dolly Parton, Spanky and Our Gang, Toby Keith, Danny Elfman, Katie Segal (Peggy Bundy), Boz Scaggs and Leon Russell. The Play It Again Jam is 3 years young and happens every Sunday at The Elysian Inn in South Nashville at 4 o'clock. Be there or be Square Pants Sponge Bob! You can sign up at the jam or email me and I will make it fast and east to join up. If you have a stamp and a mailbox we can get you to work with your own personalized and customized listing with links to your website, Reverbnation, My Space, phone and/or email.

WE WANT YOU!
The Play It Again Jam is now every Sunday at The Elysian Inn at 4PM. (615) 831-3944 404 Elysian Fields Rd Nashville, TN 37211 Plenty of Free Parking/No Cover

Nashville's longest running and most popular rock and roll musicians get together is sponsored by Pat Adams of Tennessee Concerts and hosted by Gary Allen (The Charlie Daniels Band, JJ Cale, Stonewall Jackson)

Guitarists bring your lunch, you may have the longest wait and a small 10" or 12" amp. Bass players may bring a small amp but usually that is covered as well as keyboards. Drummers bring your stick bags and a blindfold for the host who will steal your licks. All drummer jokes are changed to bass player jokes at the door. No exceptions!

The Elysian Inn is newly remodeled with full service bar, great food and polite and knowledgeable waitresses. If the music is too loud, not possible according to Kiss, you can enjoy the outside deck which has a stage, bar and lots of tables.

Spotted at the jam on a regular basis is band leader Walter Jowers, infamous writer for the Nashville Scene and The City Paper who did this gig with James Brown's band at the Third World Club in Augusta, Georgia. Walter doesn't fine us for bad notes or shoes he can't see his reflection in.

Walter's partner in crime, "Fast" Kenny Utterback, is the guitarist from Pacific Gas & Electric and the offshoot project Chicago Gas & Electric. PG&E just headlined the jam last Sunday and rocked the house along with Candadian songbird Val Halla, the latest winner of Pat Adams' Sonicbids Tennessee Concerts 2009 Talent Competition.

You will also see Mike Gauthier on keyboards, smoking and drinking until Walter busts him. Mike tickled ivories for Rick Derringer, Robert Palmer, Peter Frampton and recently recorded with Taylor Swift. Also on keyboards usually on the other side of the stage is Rick Durrett. Rick worked with Odetta, PG&E, Jerry Reed, Johnny Rodriguez and local favorites The Anglo Saxons. Tag Graves is a new addition on guitar and he rocks outloud. Tag has worked with Lita Ford, Molly Hatchett, Blackfoot and members of Leon Russell's band and opened for my old boss The Charlie Daniels Band.

We have players in the ensemble from Kiss, The Four Tops, Spanky and Our Gang, Slim Whitman, Jon Anderson (Yes), Wilson Pickett and Broadway shows Beatlemania and I Walk The Line.

You can check out Tennessee Concerts right here for more jam history, photos, location and dates of upcoming jams
