Gastón Pérez Rivera nació el 25 de Julio de 1983, en Villa María, provincia de Córdoba, Argentina.
A muy temprana edad, comenzó a tocar guitarra y a componer canciones en compañía de sus primos Lucas y Tomas Rivera.
Sus primeras presentaciones en público fueron en la Iglesia Evangélica a la cual concurría, donde ejecutaba guitarra y posteriormente batería.
Su primer banda se llamó grand sonar. En el año 2002 lanzaron un disco en forma independiente de 15 canciones de propia autoría que llevaron a docenas de presentaciones alrededor del país. Con un sonido funk potente y una puesta en escena más que interesante, grand sonar no dejaba de asombrar en cada show, siendo de la más vanguardista en numerosos festivales.
Al viajar a New York, Gastón emprende un viaje sin retorno hacia el r&b, el neosoul y el hiphop.
Luego de disolver grand sonar, forma parte de la banda de Pablo Cordero (PaCo) ganador de Escalera a la Fama 2003.
En la actualidad, bajo el seudonimo de Gas, se ha presentado en lugares como Villa María, Córdoba,Carlos Paz y Pinamar. Con más de 20 canciones de su autoría, Gas demuestra que es un artista prometedor, que compone, ejecuta y produce su propio sonido para llegar a concebir el formato canción de una manera exquisita.
