Gavin Castleton’s Home is an album about the process of healing from massive heartbreak. Written over the course of a two- year breakup, this 14-song narrative blurs the line between fact and fiction as it details the extreme highs and gut-wrenching lows of Castleton’s first bout with love, presented in the motif of a zombie film.
Both sonically and scenically, the album travels vast distances. From the 50’s doo-wop/dub pop of “Coffeelocks” - a love at first sight introduction in the coffee shop, to the prog/rocksteady hypnosis of “The Human Torch” - the action-packed escape-from-the-zombie-hordes-by-way-of-helicopter album closer, Home is as dynamic as love itself.
The album features big arrangements, lush production, and the versatile voice of Lauren Coleman (duetting with Castleton in the role of his lover). Produced by Gavin Castleton, mixed by Rob Pemberton and Overclock Inc., and mastered by Grammy-winner Mark Wilder, Home is an epic project designed to console all who have encountered love and lived to tell about it.

I'm probably one of your biggest fans in Colorado and my band is playing a stupid show in Fort Collins the night you'll be here :( I could probably cry.
It's just. not. fair.
Kick ass set last night. I'm so glad you guys stopped through Charlotte. I had no idea so I was kinda geeking out when they announced the featured act. Thank you for not sucking ('cause my friends were wondering what the hell I was going on about when I tried to explain your music). lol
You're gonna have to find your way back here (it would be a crime not to) 'cause you made a huge impression on music lovers in the Queen City!
Skip Philly, but I hope us folks @ SoCal treated you nice enough for you to come back to a show sometime next year. Even a show in 2011 would be fine. I understand how tough it is to tour. I saw your shows @ The Mint in LA, The Wire in Upland, & @ Viento Y Agua in Long Beach. All were exciting. Thnx SO much again! In apreciation, I bought 5 of your albums, & a t-shirt =) Well, the merch is still a treat for me, so I'm making sure on spreading your music to my friends. You deserve to be heard. Thnx for giving us a part of your creativity & life.
hey man, I met you at House of Blues in Chicago and we talked by the merch for it a bit when are you coming back to town? we love you guys Home is a phenomenal album

Can't get to OU tonight, but your comment reminded me that you exist, and I'm consequently listening to "Home" with the audio commentary, which is making me appreciate it way more, as I am an obsessively analytical composer.
happened to be downtown today. around 4:40 i remembered the HOB show, and ran like hell for the train. the people in line tell me it's sold out. i walk in.. attempts at sly admittance dashed by the vigilant man with long white hair -- thanks for being a hero, willie nelson. it is now 5:10.
around 5:15 i heard bugguts (was hella feelin the drummer's foot-pedal action at the end). now, i know gift shops aren't known for their acoustics, but the muffled performance i caught from behind the t-shirt rack was wonderful nonetheless. yall sounded tight. like tight as in TIGHT.
then it was over, and my ticket-less self left. did you really start at 5? the doors weren't even open yet..?
i leave you with some advice from Da Shop Boys: party like a rockstar.
You are my 1,000th friend!!! a milestone i never thought I would reach. I like your music, I hope you are proud of "Home" because I would be. I hope you like my music, I have bits of my 1st album posted.
