The personal musical influences of each member go from jazz (Aldo) to death metal (Claudio), from electro (Giovanni) to prog rock (Claudio), from fusion (Aldo) to prog metal (Marco), from psychedelia (Giovanni) to pop (Marco)
The band was formed in 2003, three years later
Gecko's Tear recorded their debut album Contradiction for the italian
indipendent label Maracash/Kaliphonia (Deus Ex Machina, Banco del
mutuo soccorso, Mangala Vallis), with Venus distribution.
All the reviews of the album so far are pretty positive (usually
enthusiastic).
In three years they won the Demetrio Stratos prize of Movimenti
Prog and got brodcasted by the italian RockTv, New Radio Network, the
german Progdependent and many more.
They also played with Daniel from Pain of Salvation (Sweden),
Isildurs Bane (Sweden), Tony Levin, California Guitar Trio, Arti e Mestieri, Osanna and Presence.
