Founded in 2005 by Guido Vortex and Olivier Vortex to create a mixture of New Wave and Electronica which is quiet unique.

History: GENETIC VORTEX started initially in 2004 firstly as a pure studio project by Guido Vortex . In 2005 Guido finally met Olivier and together they decided to work together so that the project could become alive on stage. Guido was singing and playing the solo guitar parts while Olivier was playing the main guitar parts. In Januar 2008 they had their first gig in Frankfurt am Main in the club “Nachtleben”. In March 2008 they recorded their first live session in their practicing room to bee broadcasted on Vampyr.fm. Shortly afterwards Guido met Anja and invited her to join for their first joint practice.
In Autumn 2008 Guido finished the production of the debut album of GENETIC VORTEX "The Land Sleeps". And it was subsequently release on fictive records. Shortly before the release of the album Olivier left the band because he decided to move to another city too live together with his girlfriend. Now Guido took over all guitar parts.
The first challenge of 2009 a local vision band contest in Mainz ended for the band with the 3rd ranking. After that a Gig @Super Schwarzes Mannheim @ Ms-Connection in Mannheim followed. The Next Gig will be at MTC Cologne on 08.11.2009. Currently Guido is in the last steps of finishing the next album slated for early 2010.

GENETIC VORTEX startete in 2004 zunächst als reines Studio Projekt. Im Jahr 2005 traf Guido dann Olivier Vortex und gemeinsam beschlossen sie das Projekt Live tauglich zu machen. Da Olivier Gitarre spielt, konnte sich Guido vornehmlich auf den Gesang konzentrieren und man konnte so auch Stücke realisieren, welche für zwei Gitarren komponiert sind. Am 27.01.2008 erfolgte dann der erste live Auftritt im Frankfurter Lokal „Nachtleben“. Im März 2008 nahmen Guido und Olivier die erste live Session im Proberaum auf, welche später auf Vampyre.fm gesendet werden soll. Kurze Zeit später lernte Guido Anja kennen und lud sie zu der ersten gemeinsamen Probe ein.
Im Herbst 2008 beendete Guido die Produktion des Debut Albums "The Land Sleeps. Kurz darauf wurde es auf Fictive Records veröffentlcht." Kurz vor der Fertigstellung verließ Olivier die Band da er in eine andere Stadt zog um dort mit seiner Freundin zusammen zu leben. Guido übernahm daraufhin alle Gitarren Parts.
Die erste Herausforderung in 2009 war ein "Local Vision Band Contest" den die Band mit einem 3. Platz abschloss. Am 1. August folgte ein Auftritt beim Super Schwarzen Mannheim im MS Connection in Mannheim. Der Nächste Gig wird am 08. November im MTC in Köln sein. Zur Zeit ist Guido kurz davor das nächste Album fertig zu stellen, welches für Anfang 2010 erwartet wird....

hi jungs, erstmal danke für euer interesse meines erscheinens.
da muss ich aber leider aus 2 gründen passen, erst mal, fällt es mitten in der woche, was mich wegen meiner arbeit schonmal zimlich einschränkt und des weiteren wohne ich 100 km von köln wech und weiss auf anhieb nicht, wie ich das bewerkstelliegn kann, da ich weder kraftfahrzeug noch den dazu gehörigen führerschein besitze.
