Barrio Tiger is a 5 piece from the Echo Park neighborhood of Los Angeles, CA. Guitars. Guitars. Guitars. That's what Barrio Tiger likes and that's the sound they deliver. Think punk rock Thin Lizzy with the urgency of the Sex Pistols and you're in the ball park. They are currently mastering their 7 song debut record for Worlds End which was produced and engineered by Manny Nieto. Manny has recorded and produced The Breeders, Mars Volta, Darker My Love, among a slew of L.A. and international artists. Barrio Tiger has shared the stage with Circle Jerks, Early Man, Red Fang, The Upper Crust, Veruca Salt, Burning Brides, 400 Blows and will open for the legendary Mike Watt of Minutemen and fIREHOSE fame on July 24th of 2009 ( a very special honor for the boys!). Recently added to the Converse roster, Barrio Tiger looks forward to big things and heavy touring through the latter part of 2009 and beyond.
