Geoff!
and all sorts of fantastical people who he meets and convinces that it would be jolly fun to get up and play or be in a play with, or form a band with.
Influences
The Who, The Beach Boys, Harry Nilsson, Gene Vincent, Eddy Cochrane, Buddy Holly. The Sweet, Chas and Dave, The Beatles, Old 20s 30s music. The Move, and all the fantastic local bands of Belfast and beyond..the beyond.
Sounds Like
Sounds uncommonly like Geoff Gatt or a young ruffian strumming vulgarly on a dubious instrument for the apparent merriment of a bunch of rascals. Its pop for the under 60s and rock for the over the 40s Its the jazz in the dark and the country the next morning. It here! its now!, its it time for a tunnocks tea cake, its loose, its tight and its going to snap.
songwriter, musican, busker, all-singing all-dancing actor-type for all manner of fun ness and frolic (was going to change this for album coming out but it's all kind of true)

We're doing 'Scratch My Demo' on Teusday evening at the Oh Yeah Centre. Basically we'll be playing some new tunes live, and the idea is we discuss it with the audience. And discuss other things like where we should be aiming for, image, the works. Would be great if you could get down and give some honest feedback.
HIPPOS IN THE SHOWER! Next week! Doors 7:30pm, show 8pm.

After three sell out runs in Belfast (Old Museum Arts Centre, The Empire Music Hall, Cathedral Quarter Arts Festival), the 20- strong colourful crew of Hippos in the Shower delighted audiences last month in the Edinburgh Fringe festival, spreading hippo magic in George Square Theatre and on the streets, furthering Belfast's reputation as one of the UK's artistic 'hidden gems'
When taxi driver George encounters a hippo in his dreams - and then in his shower - he realises that absolutely anything is possible. Life becomes an adventure of dreams coming true in the lives of those around him.
But will a quiet marine biologist be the final key to his happiness?
I'm playing the recordings for my upcoming CD at OhYeah at 3pm on the 19th of October. Everyone gets to air their views on the music and vote for the EP title, tracklisting and the artwork.
