Musicians from other bands such as CRUEVO and EYEHATEGOD have been with them at times, but the core remains Bryan, Colby, Ian.

REVIEWS:
"A caustic five-track dose of pounded rythm, behemoth metallic riffage, and scalding vocals, served rough around the edges to create a very dark, sludgy bombardment that, alternates between mid-tempo chugs of thrash, and brutal, grinding stop. Their first LP since forming in 2003, Oakland's ONE IN THE CHAMBER has played relentlessly in the Bay Area, following the lineage of the members' previous bands DEATH BY EXCESS and ELDOPA/1332. There's the most similarity to ELDOPA/1332 in Bryan's vocals and some of the head-crushing riffs, but there's a considerably more bleak tone from this, (if that was somehow possible). From the longer songwriting that seems to brood on moody, slower passages and churning, banged-out instumental bridges with blunt, to-the-point lyrics barked out about addiction, war, creepy priests, and the torment of addiction. A long-ish intro and outro gives this the feel of '90s records, but instead of a revival or tribute, ONE IN THE CHAMBER offer continuation of the Oakland tradition of soundtracking shows at awesome, run-down, spray-painted warehouses, and community backyard parties filled with punx as your beer warms in your hand, and the waves of bleak, caustic metallic hardcore roll over you. Capturing that mood and feeling makes for a cool debut." - Ken Sanderson, MAXIMUM ROCK N' ROLL 316, September 2009
"...collage of punk, stoner metal, aggresively jazzy wierdness, and everything in between..." - Tony Papainkolas, SF Guardian June 2009
"Pulling from the BAY, this Oakland four-piece is a bare bones metal/punk group. Sounding like a mixture between the Melvins and early ’90s thrashy punk" - 5 Bands To Know … According to Fringe: July 2007 By Fringe Staff
"While most bands these days seem overly concerned with picking the right shows to say yes to and or cultivating an image that actually runs contrary to the truth of who they actually are off stage, One In The Chamber is blunt, in your face, and drenched in truth...we cheered collectively as One In The Chamber rose once more to become one of the best new bands in the Bay Area underground and for once it's not a matter of hype, or a matter of crafting some fake image in order to gets slots on the trendy hardcore shows." - UGZ Magazine issue 16
