About me: About Dan Gheesling: Dan Gheesling was the WINNER of CBS’s hit reality show, Big Brother 10.
Dan was the only person in the history of Big Brother to win the show unanimously,winning with a 7-0 vote. Dan was also voted to be America’s Player by the viewers for one week to do their bidding inside of the Big Brother House. He was known on the show for his cunning game play, outthinking his opponents, charming speeches, being resilient under fire, and entertaining with his boyish antics. He was praised for his ability to play the game without making things personal, or attacking others’ character. He has been called the “nicest winner in Big Brother history,” by Entertainment Weekly and is also considered one of the best to ever play the game.
Dan has appeared on the CBS Morning Show, the Bonnie Hunt show, been a guest host on Detroit’s most popular radio station the WRIF, and has been seen in many other various media outlets throughout the country. He has also been active in making appearances and volunteering at the Childrens Hospital of Detroit.
Currently, Dan is a High School Teacher and Football Coach at Orchard Lake St. Mary’s Preparatory, in Orchard Lake, MI. He teaches freshman Biology, Physical Education, and Health classes. Dan has a passion for teaching and coaching kids and prides himself on teaching discipline, self responsibility, and making positive choices. He stresses to his students and players the importance of having a positive attitude no matter what situation arises. Dan also coached in the what was called the “Greatest Michigan High School Football State Championship” game of all time in 2007, which lasted five overtimes.
Dan grew up in the hard working town of Dearborn, MI and attended Divine Child High School. He graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelors Degree in Business, from the Eli Broad School of Business. While in college Dan was a student assistant for Michigan State Spartan football team. He found a love in coaching football while volunteering with the program and was named the Frank Cowing Student Assistant of the Year in 2005. After graduating in 2005, Dan accepted a Graduate Assistant Coaching Position with the Spartans for two years. During this time Dan gained expert coaching knowledge, developed his passion for coaching, and also earned his Masters degree in Kinesiology in the process. Dan was a part of the Biggest Comeback in College Football History on October 21st, 2006 when the Michigan State Spartans came back from a 38-3 in the 3rd Quarter to beat the Northwestern Wildcats, 41-38.
In 2009, Dan will begin his motivational speaking across the country, at various schools, businesses, and churches.

But real live black Bears. One found his way into our backyard. Yes that's right, minding my own buisness, getting a drink from the sink, I look up, out the window and had a REALLY surreal moment. Big, Black and about 200 lbs. was going through the backyard. I ran for my Dad, since he was outside, He's OK btw, but it did sneak up on him and was 6 feet from him. Hunter that he is, scared him..Yes I think that was crazy too. LOL So if NJ is on your tour map this summer, Please do me a favor...Bring some BEAR SPRAY...... and smelling salts..... (for me)..LOL It's not cool..LOL.. Stop laughing (((Dan))).. ! LOL :D Holy Cow, Bears, whats next?. Maybe I shouldn't ask ? LOL
