Richard Wilson (of racingpaperplanes fame) and a revolving circle of ghosts.
This is a recording project. I might invite ghost musicians every now and then from all around to come in and record with me. I have so many artists on my wish list I'd like to collaborate with...
The first two releases are sold out, gone... Thanks to those who bought them!
The third and final mini cd in this "thrillogy" is in the works. It will be called "Lift your hands up to the sky". I'm not sure if it will be all me or if someone will collaborate on it. Time will tell...
Ghost tropic, Low energy dance music, I see a darkness, The red thread, The Good Son.... Spontaneity, Punk rock do it your self thing.... Driven by some kind of frustrated, soul searching/experimental lust....
Beck
Songs: Ohia
David Bowie
Kurdt Cobain (Hoarmoaning, Incesticide)
Arab Strap
Elephant Micah
Bonnie Prince Billy
Mogwai
Chroma Key
Lou Barlow
Sounds Like
Rain on windows. Winds through the crack in the door. A fire in the woods out of control. Barefeet walking through snow.
At long last... The third and final 3" cd-r in the thrillogy is out now!!! Entitled "When does your life start", holds 4 songs on a 3" mini cd-r with hand-made cover art. LIMITED TO 22 COPIES... So act fast if you really want this one! If you order from the USA the dollar is really low now so I'm sorry I have to ask for about $7 this time to cover expenses... Sweden 40 kr and Europe 5 EUR. Contact me for details on how to get your copy!
Tract records will issue an additional 25 copies as well. Soon.
Ghost Sessions is "Editors Pick" at download.com. Here's what the kind people say:
"Fans of Iron & Wine or Sun Kil Moon will feel instantly at home in the mellower side project from Racingpaperplanes' guy Richard Wilson. That these songs go deliberately unpolished doesn't stop them from taking on a deep patina, one founded in broken hearts and campfire guitars".
Sometimes I wanna do weirder stuff. Stuff that i feel don't fit with my other band. Not necessarily worse. Just different. This is it. I am truly amazed about the response!
Songs recorded at night, when the moon and the owls are your friends. A glass of wine, burning candles and incense, a song, a drone, a whisper. A transparent figure on the wall. This is a "band in the making" and will change, morph and progress as we go along. Richard Wilson is the main force behind this recording project but will collaborate with other people from time to time. To not have a manifesto shall be our manifesto.

"Sounds like wind blowing in a wheatfield, train rolling down the line, rain coming down on a old tin shed, steel, wire and a rusty heart. Boots of leather and dust and ash. Mollasess and coal and stone. Wedding rings and buried bones of love broken and burnt. Tales and the footprints, ravenswings and souls are earnt"
The New EP is terrific. All I can think of is : "Whow !"
No seriously, it's great. I think I have a preference for "Just Breathe" The beatbox is really inetresting. Sounds a bit "South San Gabriel-esque" if that makes any sense ... hehe
Please vote a "10" for me on the Saatchi Showdown this week. I would greatly appreciate this as I am very close and every vote means a lot. Here is a direct link and my image.
my computer wont let me listen to that new track :(
i love the title though ^^ .. try to check it out later on.
its been a lifetime ago since i last talked to you. how are things in gbg? have you seen your first snow of the year already? or is the weather as 'confused' as it is over here?
I love the soul of your music! I just woke up listening to Speed Of Life. It's my fav track. Devil Ring is great too. Very natural and sincere sounds. And the vocals are so expresive! Thanks for becoming a friend :)

thank you for the add, mr.wilson. you seem to have a lot of songs hidden up your sleeve. the most intimate moment when listening to ghost sessions to me is the opening sequence of 'marigolds to the soul' - that little 'ghost' mouthing a faint 'lalala' is unbearably sweet. maybe i should take the time to open a bottle of red wine and close the blinds. this is a great soundtrack for sleepless nights.
I assure you, Good Sir, there is nothing wrong with your ass. "Bad" in this context, of course, means "Good." Somewhat like "I hate you" can mean "I want you badly" in a moment of passion.
I was going to say "you rule, dude!" but Doby beat me to it. Then I was going to tell you how much we love Ghost Sessions, but Tyler beat me to that. So here's the only first I can come up with: I once tried to swallow a live goldfish on a dare, 'cause my friends said it was easy. It's not easy. I choked and nearly bit off my tongue and ended up spitting a bloody goldfish on a girl I liked. She didn't speak to me after that. But my tongue healed!
Glad you like the cds. It's not that I'm to shy to sing, it's that I can't!!! ha ha!! Got a voice like a fog horn!! Wish I could sing, would make things a bit easier!!
