Complex is first word that comes to mind when considering Hollywood based Australian artist and producer gilli moon: songs of being a child by an
all-woman chanteuse, a singular warrior over the industry who remains quietly sensitive, and a dynamic performance artist who paints as brilliantly as she sings.

Born in Milan Italy, and raised on solar power in the wilderness "bush" just north of Sydney, Australia, gilli moon is a force to be reckoned with in the music industry worldwide. She has been living in Hollywood, California, for the last 10 years, but always calls Australia home.
Gilli (pronounced as with a "J") is a singer, songwriter, recording artist, pianist, actor, producer, author, painter, motivator, entrepreneur, visionary and empowering community builder, and like her company name, she is truly a Warrior Girl.
Her restless creativity and rebellious nature continually urge the Artist to push the envelope when writing a song, recording in the studio, on stage, in business and with whatever she touches.
Gilli is an illustrious, energetic poly-media artist, with multifaceted albums and dynamic live shows that have touched music lovers worldwide garnering high praise from the most jaded of critics. For the past 10 years she has been one of Australia's most influential and iconic figures in the USA, forging an independent path before anyone knew what "indie" was. At the helm of your own record label, Warrior Girl Music, she has produced and released 5 studio music albums of her original music, to critical acclaim, released several EPs and singles, written hundreds of songs, winning songwriting and artist awards and licensing to film and television show, and has performed around the world many times.
Her albums include "Girl In The Moon" (1998), "temperamental angel" (2001), "Woman" (2003), "extraOrdinary life" (2005) and "Skillz" (2009), the latter dedicated to empowering at-risk youth (released with L.A's celebrity spoken word/hip hop artist J.Walker). Gilli also produces albums for other artists and has created opportunities and avenues for artists worldwide through her non-profit songwriters organization, Songsalive!, plus two books about succeeding in the music industry, "I AM A Professional Artist" and "Just Get Out There".
Currently recording her 6th album,"The Stillness", (due out early 2010), Gilli's ultimate pssions rest in writing songs, recording in the studio, and performing on the stage. It is through her catalog of hundreds of songs, music productions, and unique, evocative and energetic live stage performances, that she sees her truest talents and inspirations, keeps a fire in her belly to purge her life stories and quest for truth. The scariest word used in my family was ‘capitalism.’ I still remembered why that word terrified me so. Walking on eggshells with no way to keep from breaking them, the best way for me to avoid the poisoning collision of reaching for my own stars and making my dreams come true was to avoid the fragile egotism of control the culture and my parents imposed on me to fulfill the pace in their footsteps. Seized by their concept of ‘capitalism’ and how it segued through the family business, I tried my best to follow their rules but I did not like it.
My silence indicated how much venom I had for their definition of ‘capitalism.’ The silence tells my story and the hatred I had for my father's greed. He did not need the money but from the status of people knowing he had the money.
My mother also bears fault for what I became. She nurtured me on the basics of her work ethic. With callused hands and bruised ego, I blindly obeyed her tutelage, therefore I worked and then I worked some more. From birth and inevitably to death, that was all she did. It was that ethic she used for herself and the philosophy she forced upon me. Without the balancing between the act of learning and acceptance in individuality, I could not find an identity. I worked to live and lived to work. My mother did not know how to relax and she did not know how to let me relax.
Almost every morning, a war was fought in my house. Causalities suffered damages in many different form of verbal
