Glass Mind , banda de metal progresivo, se creó a mediados del año 2005 con la finalidad de participar en el Yamaha Band Competition, concurso a nivel nacional en el cual la banda queda en 3er lugar. En ese entonces la banda era conformada por Andrés Hernández (voz), Benjamín Berthier (guitarra), Edgar Garduño (batería) y Michel Villamar (bajo). Tiempo después se une a la banda Kenji Tanamachi (teclado) dándole un sonido más completo a la banda.
En el 2006 la banda vuelve a participar en el Yamaha Band Competition. Para este concurso invitan a Pablo Berthier (guitarra) como sustituto de Kenji Tanamachi ya que este no pudo participar por causas de fuerza mayor y obtienen el 1er lugar por lo cual la banda viaja a Japón a finales de Octubre y principios de Noviembre del 2006.
A finales del año 2006 el Circo Volador ofrece a Glass Mind entrar a un proyecto a nivel mundial junto con otras 24 bandas mexicanas para grabar su primer disco y ser distribuido a varios países en Norteamérica, Europa, Asia y Australia.
Al mismo tiempo que se presenta esta oportunidad Glass Mind comienza a hacer sus primeras presentaciones. También se dan cambios de integrantes, Andrés Hernández es sustituido por Ethan, un cantante de origen coreano el cual después sería sustituido por Luís Salinas.
De esta manera la banda queda finalmente sólidamente conformada y entra a grabar en marzo del 2007 su primer disco “Haunting Regrets”, el cual consta de 9 temas.
En este mismo año Glass Mind entra al Rock Olympus, concurso a nivel nacional en el cual obtienen el 1er lugar por lo cual se hacen acreedores a un back line completo para toda la banda y una grabación de un disco.
En Diciembre del 2007 Glass Mind concluye en su totalidad la grabación de “Haunting Regrets” el cual está programado para Agosto del 2008.

Glass Mind, mexican prog metal band, was created by mid 2005 with the purpose of being part of the Yamaha Band Competition, a nationalwide contest where the band achieved the 3rd place. In that moment Glass Mind was Andrés Hernández (vocals), Benjamín Berthier (guitars), Edgar Garduño (drums) and Michel Villamor (bass). After a while Kenji Tanamachi (keyboards) was asked to join the band giving a much powerful sound to the band.
2006, GM participated once again on the Yamaha Band Competition, asking Pablo Berthier (guitars) to join the band as a substitute of Kenji for the competition, because he was unable to be there by force majeure. The band achieved the 1st price, winning a trip to Japan.
By the end of 2006, Circo Volador offered GM to be part of an international project together with other 24 mexican bands. Whit the opportunity to record their first CD and being distributed in Northamerica, Europe, Asia and Australia.
Meanwhile, the band kept playing as much as possible. There where also changes in the band, Andrés Hernández was substituted by Ethan, a corean singer that eventually was subtituted by an old friend of Yamaha, Luis Salinas.
So finally by March of 2007 the band was ready to record their first album, “Haunting Regrets”, it comprises 9 powerful tracks.
In the same year, Glass Mind achieved the 1st price at Rock Olympus, a nationalwide competition, winning a complete backline.
By December of 2007, the band concluded recording “Haunting Regrets”, released on August of 2008.
