MySpace a place for friends

Band members Kevin Davis and drummer Jesse Robert W. met in Portland, OR in 2006. Before long, they found themselves recording an album together in the vast outskirts of an otherwordly Utah desert, holed up with some only some modest gear and a laptop. You can hear the result in The Coachlight Woods, Glowworm's debut album, released March 4th, 2008.

Kevin and Jesse have also both share membership in Pacific UV, who released Longplay 2 on WARM records last year. Kevin is now writing a new Glowworm album and playing in Strange Holiday, who have just completed mixing an EP. Check out our good friends below.

Just as important are the album’s ample ambient flourishes, which provide much-needed breathing room in the midst of the vigorous instrumental pomp that defines the record. On an album filled with as many exclamations as this one, these counterpoints are vital. Without them, the result would have been a considerably more tiring and predictable listen. Instead, this Portland, OR duo have created an engaging record built on clever melodic interactions that clearly define their sound.”
