1991
The band has been around since 1991 when the band was formed by Roger Sundquist (drums) and got known as THRONEAEON.
GODHATE is actually one of very few still existing bands of the second era of Swedish death metal!!
In 1993 when black metal gained ground only a few Swedish bands would survive as death metal acts. The very few can be named as Entombed, Dismember, Grave, and some new acts namely Vomitory and GODHATE.
2009
After a couple of albums, tours and a break-up (in late 2006) where 3/4 members quit, the band is back with a new crew and a new album.
GODHATE has got a few offers on the latest recording, entitled “Equal in the eyes of death” and will have it released in august 2009!
Well if yous have plans to came to brazil let me know I know a lots of underground productor and of course I can offen a little of hospitality, you know be a guide, and put a hoof over your heads while you stay here!!!
But for sure you know some ppl here too!
Let me know more about swedish nows days scene! I used to be an addicted on Marduk, when we share a stage it is a kind of dream come true hehehe
we got a lots of metal fan, but the underground is a little down, but in the whole world I see it, internet made metal ppl think they are superstar and them lose the underground culture...
But maybe soon you guys can came to play here and see by your own eyes!!!
