... That dread-locked dude who used to man the sound-board at CBGB's once called Brooklyn's gONNA gET gOT "new wave hip-hop.”
Another scenester in the house called them "punk-rap."
Some simply say, “Punk-Pop Hip-Hop.”
Now if you're anything like the band-members themselves, any sort of musical description involving a mash-up of rap with white-boy styles has made you run for the hills.
But fear not. This sh*t is actually good!
However you choose to describe it, GGG's unlikely collision of sound is providing sustenance to that peculiar strain of music fan out there looking for something different. From Goth fans to punk-rockers, hip-hop heads to dead-heads, teen-age girls to MILFs and beyond... gONNA gET gOT’s appeal crosses boundary after boundary.
Rising up from the ashes of the O (formerly signed to NYC underground giants' Mindless Self Indulgence's personal label, as well as several different majors in the UK) , GGG's music has already spat forth from thousands of glowing TV screen's during MTV's Pimp My Ride as well as on the nationally syndicated cult-music show Fearless TV. Legendary NYC punk-makeup icon Manic Panic is one of several past sponsors. Finally, rapper Trip Jeezy remains New York's only front man to be ejected from Joe's Pub while performing.
Their sophomore LP, the poppy and personal My Microphone dropped May 1st, 2008 and quickly (or slowly rather) became the CD with the longest-ever stay on the new release channel of Hot Topic's in-store radio, nationwide. The album sold out in the regional Hot Topics where it was sold and the band played Bamboozle and Warped that summer before touring the midwest.
The band is currently recording their third album, tentatively titled, "Death Defyer," with more touring to follow in the summer.

At the TMBG show tonight they played 'Someone keeps moving my chair.' Reminds me of a fond conversation we had! And John Linnell kinda resembles a child molester live...just when he glares into the crowd...Naw wudda meen?
