GO! was around from 1989 to 1991, and now we're back! We played some shows and recorded the Reactive 7"EP / CD at Don Fury's in NYC in July 2006, and then did a Bay Area mini-tour in January, 2007 and recorded What We Build Together 7"EP/CD . We played ABC-No-Rio again Oct, 2009, and next is... a European mini-Tour in June, 2011! Meanwhile, just being back together is so awesome.
GO! was about an awful lot, but we were so fucking sarcastic that I think it made it all alright. We were anti- all the bad stuff - racism, sexism, homophobia, violence at shows - and pro- all the good stuff: low-priced all-ages shows, equality for women, equal rights and respect for gay and lesbian people, essentially having respect for other people in general. Plus we had serious ditties like "Milk does your body good" and "The A-Train." And we kinda rocked out, too - so there you have it.
We toured the US in 1990 and Europe in 1991, and played a bunch of shows in the NY and surrounding areas. It was great playing with so many cool bands and meeting so many great people. Friends, not fans! Some of us were sXe on and off (I still am), Jim and I are both vegetarian and I'm the only gay one.
GO! put out a fuck of a lot of records, which are of course all out of print - except the new one. The comp CD/LP of our 1989-1991 stuff - Existence - is on our label Epistrophy (in Germany).
