I am able to provide interesting people to appear on a wide rabge
I am able to prpvide a wide range of people to appear on variois projects. See my PR Firms website and use code "1960" to see journalist page. wwww.recognitionpr.co.uk
About me: I am the founding partner at one of the North East's most successful PR firms and have a serious interest in UK Politics. In 2007 I stood in the by-election to replace Tony Blair as MP for Sedgefield (this is extensively chronicled in the blogs for June/July 2007).
I have spent more than 25 years working in the media and learned my art in commercial and BBC Radio. In the North East I have been a voice on Radio Tees in the 1980s, and BBC radio in the 1980s & 1990's, I was one of the orginal line up of presenters in the first years of Century Radio in the region. I love politics and started my political career as Conservative parliamentary candidate for Hartlepool in 1992, in 2004 I was a lead spokesperson for the successful ‘North East Says No!’ referendum campaign, and throughout the 1990s I was regional media officer for the Conservative Party.
I was also northern press officer for both the Rt Hon John Major and the Rt Hon William Hague. I respect people of all political beliefs. I relish working with the media and live, eat and breathe satellite news programmes from across the world! In 1990 I established Graham Robb Media, which metamorphosised into Recognition Marketing and Public Relations in 1999, when Frances Bourne became an equal partner.
I have recently started an associated business - wwww.broadbandtvchannel.co.uk
My motto? ‘Respect others, but be true to your beliefs’.
I have an active and busy professional and family life. We have two beautiful teenage girls, one of whom is about to go to medical school. My wife and I enjoy visiting comedy clubs, walking our Springer Spaniel 'Molly' and watching great TV and movies.
Outside of work I'm on the board of two charities, TFM's Make a Child Smile and TTE a training company dedicated to providing engineering training opportnities for young people aged 16 plus.
Who I'd like to meet: People who are interested in Conservative politics. Also people who need Public Relations and media advice to promote their products or services. Also media producers and writers who are looking for interesting content from over 60 clients that my firm represents in a wide variety of fields from politics to sport to education to retail etc.
Live stand-up on the last Sunday of every month - Brand new to Darlington from June 24th. Visit the website at www.hilaritybites.co.uk for more information!:
