Welcome to GrapeVine-the FREE online magazine about CATHOLIC performing artists! (Arts and Entertainment from a Catholic Perspective)We are thrilled to be here to introduce you to our mission statement and to what we are all about.
GrapeVine has a two-part mission:
1)Supporting the community of Catholic artists. Recognizing that proclaiming the Gospel through the arts can be challenging and at times isolating, GrapeVine seeks to build fellowship and friendship amongst all Christian artists which would then encourage a generous sharing of talents and knowledge, leading to further growth and excellence.
2)Recognizing the power of the arts to encourage and evangelize, the second part of GrapeVine’s mission is to expose all these art forms to as many people as possible, that their hearts may be touched and encouraged by the Gospel message they proclaim.
GrapeVine is a FREE online magazine supported by donations and advertising. A reader can view the articles online or download the pdf files for later. In addition, GrapeVine recently partnered with Lulu.com and is also now offering a print version (for a small fee) of each edition.
Once inside Grapevine you'll get the most updated news on your favorite Catholic performing artists, helpful hints for the aspiring artist, CD reviews, commentary from established artists who are experts in their field, industry related announcements and event follow-up, contacts for booking, and advertisements from some of the most respected businesses servicing the Catholic market.
The GrapeVine website also offers other terrific extras including the GrapeVine News Minute Podcast (a weekly 15-20 update on things that are "happening" in the world of Catholic music including artist interviews and music played from assorted artists), the GrapeVine Forum where you can get involved in lively online discussions related to Catholic music, Links to artist/industry websites, and even a Souvenir Shop where you can pick up cool GrapeVine swag.

Jesus said to his disciples: “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name? Did we not drive out demons in your name? Did we not do mighty deeds in your name?’ Then I will declare to them solemnly, ‘I never knew you. Depart from me, you evildoers.’
“Everyone who listens to these words of mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who built his house on rock. The rain fell, the floods came, and the winds blew and buffeted the house. But it did not collapse; it had been set solidly on rock. And everyone who listens to these words of mine but does not act on them will be like a fool who built his house on sand. The rain fell, the floods came, and the winds blew and buffeted the house. And it collapsed and was completely ruined.”
May you always listen to the words of Christ and act on them.

hey the Song for Karol by Mark Mallet is so beautiful. i also read this, which is important, since Divine Mercy Sunday is coming soon (the Sunday after Easter Sunday).
"OFFICIALLY RELEASED DIVINE MERCY SUNDAY!
DIVINE MERCY CHAPLET WITH FR. DON CALLOWAY Following his internationally selling Rosary CD, Mark has produced another devotional CD, this time on the Divine Mercy Chaplet, prayed to the Stations of the Cross as set forth by Pope John Paul II. Featuring dynamic original music scores, it is an incredibly powerful tool to contemplate the Passion and Resurrection of our Lord.
The CD also features five new songs Mark has written which focus on the theme of mercy & healing. The prayers of the Divine Mercy Chaplet are led by Fr. Don Calloway, a young American priest whose dramatic and miraculous conversion story has been likened to that of St. Augustine's."
