    I've spent a fair amount of my life behind a drumkit, and a great deal of the rest of it sitting at a keyboard writing music. So yes, music plays a big part in my existence. I also listen to a great deal of soundtrack music (ie, film score). Rounding it out, below is a widget reflecting a couple of albums I did with my progressive rock group, Gravity Tree...

  • Movies

    Yes, I've seen those, too. A lot of them, in fact. Some of my favorites come from directors like Akira Kurosawa, John Huston, Ridley Scott, Howard Hawks, Carol Reed, Terry Gilliam, Sergio Leone, John Sturges, Jean-Pierre Jeunet, Billy Wilder, Robert Wise and others. But I listen to more movies than I watch, i.e. soundtrack music.

  • Television

    One of my favorite shows was never on TV. That would be Dr. Horrible, and you'll have to go to someplace like Hulu to see it. In truth, all of my favorites are no longer on the air. So I don't watch much anymore. Plus, it takes time away from MUSIC!

  • Books

    I have lots of these.

  • Heroes

    ...that's my favorite David Bowie album..............

Networking

  • underscore and songwriting for games, animation, web, tv, film, art installations.

  • more than 100 titles over a 14 year game career; sound design on as many (perhaps more) titles.

About me:

..My name is not GravityDrmmr. That's what folks call me who are not used to leaving their computer...ever. I'm going to take a chance and hope you're not epoxied to your laptop, and come clean with you. My name is Alan, and I multi-task. I have spent a fair amount of my time creating music and sound design for games (I've worked on more than 100 titles). I'm a serious ProTools geek and have used it since they came up with it. And, it's probably best if you have no idea what ProTools is; you'll be more sane, longer, that way.

I play drums, keys, bass and guitar, and sing a bit as well. I am one-half of the prog duo, Gravity Tree (please buy our new CD - yes that was shameless, and I won't say I'm sorry) I also produce albums. I've written a couple of scores to animated shorts and films you probably haven't seen. And, I visit MySpace. Thanks for stopping by - and yes, some of the above was intended to be humourous.
