Hi. I flew recently with Alaska airlines and was disappointed to learn that they do not recycle the plastic cups. If every single person throws away two plastic cups per flight, imagine what our landfills will look like by the end of the week. I wrote the following letter to their customer service and would like to get some more support to help get them to change their policies. Please spread the word and support our planet. Thank you.
customer service letter: I recently flew twice on your airline to visit family during the holiday season. I was pleased with the service and friendliness provided by your flight staff, however I was greatly disappointed when I learned that your airline does not take the extra few minutes to recycle the plastic cups provided to us by your airline. I believe that it is important to reduce your impact on the environment, especially when you are in an industry which already uses mass amounts of our natural resources such as fuel. I hope that this was merely an oversight on your part and that your policy will change in the future. Thank you for your time.

You're welcome! What you are doing is a wish I have had for years. It makes me sick to see so much junk mail go into the trash! So much so, that one day I asked our postman if there was a way to stop it and he told me by law they have to deliver it?! What you are doing is amazing and I will be sharing a greendimes gift with everyone this Christmas! The gift no one thought they wanted, but they do!
