Deathanie and Hans Jørgen started GRIND CRUSHER at the end of 2006 after the split up of ENDWARFMENT. Deathanie had played guitar in BLACK DEMENTIA (1999) and TAAKE (2000-2003), quitting both bands because of moving, played bass at the start of NATTEFROST (2004), played guitar again in some other bands which she quitted for lack of interest, then joined ENDWARFMENT (2006). Hans Jørgen had played drums in INFANTICIDE (1992-1995), a couple of years in ENDWARFMENT and has been the drummer/vocalist of DISKORD since 1999. Deathanie and Hans Jørgen wrote some songs and after a couple of months, evil_dave (LOBOTOMIZED) joined the band, taking care of the bass, the vocals and writing the lyrics. He unfortunately quit the band after some months because of moving, but continues to write the lyrics. The first demo, “Mutation in Extremis”, was finally recorded in the autumn 2007 as a duo and came out in January. With Eyvind from DISKORD helping them on bass, they played their first concert in December 2007 in Oslo with REGURGITATE, RETALIATION and SAYYADINA, their second in March 2008 in Trondheim with SEXY POLICE, LASERGUYS and BEG FOR FIRE, and their third in April in Oslo with ANAL CUNT and ANAL NOSOROG. They will play in Oslo again in September with GENERAL SURGERY and are seeking to play concerts and festivals outside of Norway. Our first split vinyl EP with CUT YOUR THROAT will come out soon on No Posers Please!, the material for a second split is already recorded.
