Andy has been DJing for over 12 years, originally in his native Scotland and for the last 10 years in Derby. His style has been described as bridging the gap between breaks and house, providing the funk factor alongside dirty basslines and fat beats. This has seen Andy play at many clubs around the country alongside Dr Alex Patterson (the Orb), Stanton Warriors, Hybrid, Vandal, Dumb Blonde, Utah Saints and JDS to name a few!
Andy founded GROUND LEVEL in 2007, a breaks and electro label focusing on quality dancefloor music. The label is now on it's eighth release and artists include Stylus Rex, Break The Box, MC Coppa, Domino, Darft Phunk/Pimpsoul, Shopliftas, ITF scratch champion Doc Trashz and Andy hinself. The label in it's short time has seen remixes from Maelstrom, Grand Def Audio, Plaza De Funk, Strider, Groove Allegiance, Nine Lives the Cat and Groove Diggerz. The label is consistently getting great reviews from DJs and dance press, and releases feature refularly on Kiss FM and Radio 1. In his sets you will hear a bucketload of fotrhcoming Ground Level releases as well as original productions and cheeky re-edits keeping the music fresh and upfront. Sometimes he has time to write his own tunes, purely focused on the dancefloor, as his 2007 release with Darft Phunk 'We're Here to Rock' shows...
Andy is also a professional drummer, touring with bands across the UK, and having played in Holland, Germany, France, USA and Norway, one day he hopes to incorporate this into his productions!.
Andy's DJ sets have featured everywhere from London, to Ibiza, via his adopted home town of Derby, and have featured on many radio shows.

For the third installment of the now legendary Videocrash, London's biggest and best dedicated Audio-Visual event, we have lined up a truly ground-breaking affair, with the undeniable kings Hexstatic and new challengers The Nextmen as well as some of the finest up-and coming talent in this, the coolest up-and-coming night-club experience. Having absolutley killed it at the previous 2 Videocrash nights Hexstatic was an obvious choice to invite back to Koko, and in looking for an act to match up to them The Nextmen were a clear option, with their live showcase and excellent turntable skills. To make it all that bit more special, and to fit in with the theme of the occasion, Hexstatic will be providing a visual accompaniment to The Nextmen's set! Awesome.
