Our second incarnation has been around scince 2003. Harlan Johnson (accordion) called up Benoit leBlanc (songwriter, vocalist, guitar) and it snowballed. Now we have Mike Reilly(upright bass), Pat Loiselle (lap-steel, guitar), Michael Ball(violin), Jody Benjamin (percussion).We have friends joining us from time 2 time -Jordan Officer, Suzy Arioli, Bernadette Fortin 2 name a few. Betsy Stomp is our new & first cd. It feels good like cadien and creole music should. We sing all in french, it's such an integral and beautiful part of everything. It's got roots cadien, creole tunes and an original. Some old-time twin fiddles with Jordan & Michael. Some 50's dancehall with Pat on steel. Our record label is Milagro and they are distributed by Fusion 3.
Notre deuxieme incarnation a vu le jour en 2003. Harlan a appele' Benoit avec qui il a joue' auparavant dans 'Cocodrie'. On avait tous les deux pris connaissance de cette musique et nous avons juxtaposes en quelque sorte nos repertoires ainsi que nos voix. Benoit est en quelqu'un sorte musicologue et moi aussi j'ai une passion pour les divers moments stylistiques de cette musique encore assez meconnue ici.
