Sounds Like
All the artists mentioned in the influences section above have inspired and shaped our sound
All session musicians, the band was formed between Danny Huckridge and Ollie Parfitt in 2001, after they first met on a session for Modaji to record Flying Saucer. They went on to record together for Bugz In The Attic, 2000Black, Afronaut, The Herbaliser, Modaji, Phil Asher and Restless Soul, also including being in the Neon Phusion band for festival appearances in Europe. It was on the Neon Phusion gigs that Ollie, Danny and Micky Moody first performed together. Ollie and Micky had been long time colleagues in the Herbaliser band and it was agreed around the time of those festivals that the trio would start recording together.
In 2002 Cliff Hall was added to the line up, the studio was built and they began to write and record their new material.
They record and perform individually with many different bands/artists and cover many styles of music, releasing tunes under the names ASSASSINO DANINHA and COSMOSIS, also on the 2000Black label.
They like to feature guest musicians on their recordings, some of whom are listed in the band members section.
Hey Hello, Come and have a listen to the title track, download it free, burn it on
a CD and give it to a friend in Christmas card. Album available in January.
Hope all is well in your worlds and hope to see and hear ya's in the next
decade...Best of to ya. Steve H
yeah it was a blinder... just checked the recording ... on form mate ... Brightons gonna be a good one... I'm slap them skins like they're Tele's head.. Haslet reformed in our room in the form of turtle breath ...
Here's the original of the Dilla sample. Hergest Ridge came out in 74 I think. This album went to no. 1 before Tubular Bells did. People bought this then found Tubular Bells, which had already been out for a year and knocked Hergest Ridge off the top spot. The only artist to knock himself off the top spot. Tubular Bells is still the album to spend the longest in the charts before going to no. 1. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MObw1XScjZ4
